Great runner
These power units by KATO are superb runners. Mine had a very high speed, but they can be throttled down to a realistic speed. Note that hey come with older style Rapido couplers for N scale. I have been very happy with my five units. They are light weight and can only pull one or two cars on their own. I use these in my HOn30 models and add weight to the engine shell. My little engines using these unit can pull six light weight cars.

fast, light, no pulling power
im gonna have to get a different loco to pull, and use this one as a helper engine. fun though! small fast and light. 8 wheels pick up current, 4 wheels drive. one of the driving wheels has a rubber traction tire.

Works as designed
I use these in the caboose or similar sized car if running a fairly long n scale train - I also buy the Kato DCC Decoders and install them on these - works very well.

Bachmann Trolley, both good and cheap!
Thanks to another earlier review I spotted for this, I repowered my Bachmann Brill Trolley with one of these. It took only a couple strips of double sided foam tape to marry them. You can buy new bodies from Bachmann parts currently for 12 bucks and change. The only snag I had was that the old power pack I'm powering my Trolley line with goes right from stop to too fast. These run on less voltage than typical n scale. If your throttle can get down near zero volts, then you can creep well.

Three Stars
Not much power and doesn't fit B Train Shorty as advertised (above)

KATO power truck gives you a great run for your money!
The options are limitless with a power truck by KATO. Power N scale locomotives, and transit. Hon30 also runs on N-Scale track so a world of HO narrow gauge opens up yo you also.

weaksauce
extremely weak performance. these will barely pull two extremely lightweight wagons. I returned 3 out of the 4 that I ordered for malfunction, right out of their packaging. My only regret is not returning all 4.

A repower way for a old Lima switcher
Took a chance on size that it would fit a old Lima switch loci I have had for years, going to dcc it when I put it together
