Bialetti Mukka Express Replacement Pressure Valve

I bought my Mukka Express from the thrift store for $2!! It did not come with the pressure valve. Having never used this pot before, I wasn't really sure how to put it on, since it never seemed to "lock" in place. I soon realized that you only slide it down and give it a clockwise turn until it stops. This valve has been working perfectly since I bought it and I use it at least twice a day. I make sure that it is cleaned after every use. After dissembling the pot, I turn the valve upside down in warm, running water until the water shoots through the tiny hole on the bottom tip. That way, I can be sure there is not build up of milk. I use raw milk in mine so I have to use a little bit ofbottled water to dilute it, or else it is too thick and doesn't froth correctly. I also use bottled water in the bottom of the pot as well. This valve comes with an extra O-ring that is red. I would recommend replacing the clear one that is already on the pot. The red one seals the valve much better and it doesn't sputter at all. Thumbs up to my favorite kitchen gadget ever! Bialetti has discontinued this pot and it is a shame because I absolutely LOVE it!

The first one was ruined in the garbage disposal. This is a replacement part for the bialetti mukka express coffee machine. This is an excellent coffee pot. Love it. Replaced my starbucks habit.

When I ordered a Mukka pot a couple of years ago I was sooo excited-to make foamy rich lattes on my stovetop was amazing!! And the product worked beautifully for a few months. (Make sure you put a little oil on your finger and wipe the rubber gaskets with it- this creates a stronger seal). Soon after, it started to not make foam. I thought it was the valve since nothing else made sense, but I changed the valve and it still doesn't work the same way anymore- it sometimes makes a little foam but more often I just get a small amount of espresso with a dribble of milk in it. It might be the grind of the espresso- make sure you tell your coffee store that you are using a Mukka Pot and they will adjust the grind for you. I'll keep trying once in a while since the dream of home lattes is still strong!

The price of this item has skyrocketed over the past few years and the Moka Express cappaccino maker it is designed for, doesn't seem to be sold in the US anymore -- not even sure it is still being manufactured for sale anywhere. I used the cappuccino maker several hundred times over 5 or 6 years and it made a great drink, but the maker itself was tricky to use and this part in particular broke twice spewing hot coffee up to the ceiling. I imagine there may be a few people who were injured when they had same thing happen, which may explain why the cappuccino maker is off the market.

This is my second replacement pressure valve for my mukka express coffee maker. This one fits appropriately tightly, and is heavy enough that it doesn’t pop early. Much better than the last one - works like it’s brand new. I almost gave up on the pot because the first replacement valve worked so poorly (purchased about 2014). Glad I gave it another chance.

The order arrived quickly with no problems. This valve stays up when I am making esspresso, not capucino. It does all you need from replacement part. Fits my Bialetti Mukka that I purchased few years ago, and since then I saw different models, but as lon as the size is same this valve will fit.

I purchased the glass-style Mukka Express in 2008 and while I like it, there have been times when I just don't get froth on the cappuccino setting. My old valve recently stopped allowing steam to pass through, so I bought this replacement. The first couple of times I used the new valve (the inside design is different than the old without the exposed movable part) with the new red ring (my old one was clear and smaller), I had a hard time fitting it on, but since then, it goes on easily and makes perfectly frothed cappuccino every time. Good purchase.

My mukka express is Bialetti 6990 Mukka Express Cappuccino Maker, Polished Aluminum. I ordered the valve because my old one was broken.. I'm not sure if the item was damaged or just low quality..I first noticed the black plastic part is not as smooth as I remember.. I tried it on without the O ring because my pot still has transparent ring with it. I feel the valve doesn't not match with the pot as well as the old one and it failed..bubble came out from the valve, and very small black plastic pieces. Unfortunately, this is the only model of Mukka Express valve Bialetti sales now.. Need to order another one and see if it will work this time...

finalmente posso rifarmi un buon capuccino senza andare al bar ogni mattina, nè ho usata una sola l'altra l'ho regalata e non è stata ancoara usata pertanto spero bene.

Very good guinune replacement, works better than the original giving more consistent performance.

Nach ca.2000 Tassen Cappuccino ging leider das Ventil an meiner Mukka Express kaputt. Nachdem ich ein neues bestellt habe und es sehr schnell geliefert wurde musste ich feststellen das irgendwas mit dem neuen nicht stimmte. Nach ca.4 Wochen öffnete das Ventil aber es kam kein Kaffee durch das Ventil, der Druck blieb bestehen, habe ich leider erst bemerkt nachdem mir die Brühe nach dem abnehmen des Ventils die Küche versaut hat. Nach der Kontaktaufnahme mit dem Verkäufer bot er mir anstandslos kostenlosen Ersatz an. Vielen Dank nochmal an den Verkäufer dafür. Mit diesem Ventil funktioniert meine Mukka wieder wie gewohnt und ich genieße jetzt wieder meinen täglichen frischen Cappucino.
