So it says 100 mg of potassium is max allowed in pill but these are much higher, which i actually am glad about , but still how ? Scam or not?

21CFR201.306 says that the warning statement has to be labeled when a "potassium salt" pill provides more than 100mg of potassium "per tablet." Potassium bicarbonate, like potassium chloride and potassium citrate, is a potassium salt. It's unclear whether these actually contain <100mg potassium or just omit the warning statement.

A study of added Potassium Bicarbonate increased aorta flexibility, significantly increased endothelial function, reduces left ventricular mass, etc. Another study in Taiwan showed that increased Potassium salt reduced CVD mortality by 41%.Disclosure: I am just a knowledgeable consumer with no conflict of interests.

Potassium Bicarbonate is only 39% Potassium. The new RDI for Potassium for adult men and women is 4,700 mg. So in order to hit this number using this particular supplement alone, you must ingest 12,240 of potassium bicarbonate to hit 4773.6 mg of elemental potassium by taking 12 capsules a day. You can divide it and do 6 in the morning and 6 at night! There is no upper limit on potassium so this is generally safe! Hope this was helpful!

Does anyone have a picture of the pill size? I have taken other potassium pills before and typically gag on bigger pills. Please advise. Thank you.

It's not huge. I gag easily too, but it's fine, just a capsule with powder. Love that you can take just one pill for a 1/2 a dose--so the 1020 mg advertised, is actually 1/2 of that amount if you only take one capsule. It's better to take less with potassium at first because you can take too much. Some see this as a negative, but I prefer it.

Good potassium supplement

I’ve tried a couple of brands and this is a good Potassium supplement and good value as well! Always skeptic with anything that goes into my body and I make sure it’s from a reliable and trustworthy company. We only have one life, so we better make sure we’re not poisoning it!

over a medium potato worth of potassium, with none of the calories

As others have mentioned, they can upset stomach. For me personally, it's perfectly fine, but my wife it makes her "tummy rumbly", her words not mine.I've also seen that someone else was stating potassium bicarbonate is only 39% based on conversion ratios. Thing is, once you empty these out (remove the shell from the equation) on a fine scale, they weigh roughly 1400mg. So if we take them at their word of <1% magnesium stearate, would put the total potassium bicarbonate at a minimum of 1260mg, which is 491mg potassium minimum per pill.
