Cable Tester Wire Tracker RJ11 RJ45 Cat5 Cat6 Line Finder Ethernet LAN Network Line Detector

I have been playing for the last week or so on and off with this cable tracking device. I can see genuine uses for anyone who outlays cables be they simple DC voltage, RJ11 for telecoms and RJ45 for networking. You do not need to directly connect the sensors to the conductive wire all that is necessary is to either clamp the alligator clips over the voltage and ground, or use the probe in the receiver. This package comes with two devices, an emitter and the receiver. The emitter has one RJ11 and RJ45 socket, the receiver has a single socket for a RJ45 cable which allows connecting a Category 5 cable to the emitter. This allows you to test the cable connections, whether there is a disconnection or even find out the actual pin-outs. Other cable testers simply tell you whether the cable is parallel or non-parallel. The greatest strength with this device package is locating cables. You plug in the RJ11 or RJ45 plugs of the end of the cable you wish to locate into the emitter and using the receiver you can trace the cable just by seeking via the sound it gives. When you hear a distinctive ringing noise when you are moving around touching cables with the probe, the louder the sound the closer you are to the cable. Needed this to locate a break in the automower underground system. Found the break with ease using this kit! It's accurate and the difference in sounds is distinctive and loud. Saved us a lot of money and time.

Struggled locating cables in rack until got this and POW sorted.

Little difficult to follow instructions however works well once you have worked it out

Bought it 19 March, and after 4 months put new batteries in used it twice now it wont work
