Tig Finger XL from Weldmonger

I used it way more than I thought although I think the hottest thing I welded was around 400 degrees with it. Definitely made me a lot more comfortable.

I follow welding tips and tricks on YouTube and after watching this product on many of their videos, I finally decided to buy it. Wow, I'm so happy that I did. It helped my welds right away by helping my hand glide smoother on the table surface and it protected my hand from the heat when tig welding. I liked it so much that I just order the smaller version of it. I will use the smaller one on my welding hand and this larger one for my hand controlling the filler. As most TIG welders will tell you, your feeding technique and rhythm is very important!

No more "ouch, crap, almost done, perfect bead. What's that smell? Holy crap that's my skin cookin!!!" Very easy to use. Blocks the heat as intended. Don't leave laying around because it will grow legs and walk away if your in a bigger shop. This product may provide enough protection that you can touch the surface of the sun with confidence. I can fit two fingers inside, but if you have hot dog pipe fitter fingers you may only get one of your sausage fingers in there. Also good use as a hand slider to prop on with the heel of your hand. Product definitely falls under the "why did't I think of this" category.

Works bell but the thing keeps falling off and Im constantly having to chase it around. Im wondering if the original size would have been better. This thing has a bit of weight to it and just slides right off my tig gloves. Its a bit too big for 2 fingers and not quite big enough for 3. Im a big fan of Jody though so it was a no brainer supporting him and getting one of these.

After using (and LOVING) the single-finger version, I could see the usefulness of a 2-finger version. I like to have 2 fingers on the surface to slide along as I follow the seam. It not only slides easier than leather, but insulates my fingers from the heat. It is amazing how much heat these can take and it doesn't leave a scorch mark on the TIG Finger. As Jody says, "get comfortable, and you will run better beads". TIG welders use gloves with thin leather to increase dexterity, and have less insulation to keep our hands from sweating. However, this can also leave them vulnerable to heat when in cramped quarters, or wanting to use the metal as a surface to keep the torch steady. TIG Finger to the rescue! I no longer fear placing my fingers right next to a fresh bead. Pays for itself after a few uses. It has found a permanent place in my welding toolbox.

I wear one of these out every few months at work. I use the fibers right out of it. It is a very necessary item to have when you're in production and manufacturing welding environment because you cannot just stop working because the workpiece is hot. This allows you to prop directly onto the extremely hot surface and keep welding. They work amazingly and keep the heat off of your hand while working. I have recommended these to every mig and tig welder I know and they all love them! Thanks Jody for offering these tig fingers to us welders!

I love weldingtipsandtricks.com and Jody's videos. I'm happy to purchase a product that supports him and his work. That being said this product does work very well. It makes it easy to prop right next to the weld and not toast your fingers. I prefer the XL size over the original because I can easily two fingers in it. I only wish it wasn't so easy to snag the fibers on the corners of sharp metal corners, but that is a small issue.

Andere Hersteller sind entweder dünner, grober geflechtet oder aus spröder Glasfaser hergestellt. Das Original ist perfekt. Schön dick und super weich und anschmiegsam.
