Works like New
We have a therapy pool in our basement that has this style heater in it. I only run it on non-peak hours to save money. Then all of a sudden, it stopped heating. Purchased this unit and it fit right and was easy to replace in the tube. ( I have isolation valves on both sides of the unit) Back up and running in less than an hours time and it's been good since.

Saved a ton of money!
Hot tub wasn’t heating up so I used a ton of google and YouTube to try and diagnose the problem. The heater casing very explicitly says not to exchange the heating element, but I could see the element was all busted up. And I am a rebel. A cheap rebel. Replacing the element was fantastically easy (thank you internet) and got the hot tub running again without a technician and for under $50. 4 months in and tub is working great! Also no one has been electrocuted. Very happy!

Perfect fit for bullfrog tub with balboa control
Great product with helpful instructions that also give you ohm specs to compare with your old heater. Installation was quite easy, no leaks with the standard o rings provided. Great product, well worth the $ saved to do this project yourself!

Not a surprise! Beware
I read several good reviews and some bad ones before purchasing this heater element, however i thought i would give the company the benefit of the doubt. Perhaps the others that complained about short life were inexperience, and installed the product incorrectly.... NOT. the heater lasted exactly 4 months, worked great during the 4 months then i started tripping the breaker (a sign of a failed element) I have years of electrical experience and have installed several spa heaters (on other spas). I contacted the MFG, they said i could send the the part back but if it showed any wear, that it would not be under warranty. They claimed that low water PH or low flow could cause premature failure. Well i balance my PH and the spa has low flow protection built in. I have yet to pull the element, but in there words, the element must appear in unused condition or they will not warranty, and that it failed because of user error. Well my spa is a 2002 Cal spa, and never needed an element until 2022, 20 years with the first element. this one last 4 months. other reviews also claim they get 3-4 months out of the product. They either have horrible quality control or the product is made from inferior materials. The warranty is worthless as is the product. Spend more and get a better element.

It worked.
I was a little worried about this install. The last time the heater went out 2 years ago the pool guy took 3 times getting one that would work without tripping the gfci. The cost for that many trips was near a thousand. So I decided to try myself and great news it worked the first try. Not sure but I think it may have something to do with being made in America. Needless to say I saved a lot of money doing it myself. Hope it lasts longer than two years.
