Strategic Compensation in Canada

The ideas in this book are very crafty! I did not think a book on compensation could offer such genius on (what I thought was) a dry topic.The layout and colours of the book are dull. Excess verbiage like most textbooks.Also, like most textbooks, a summary of each chapter is provided along with key terms in the chapter. I was taking this class at Conestoga.

The book is good and came quickly. However, the simulation pack that should be included with the book never came. The description of the book provided the following: learning can be further enhanced by the accompanying Strategic Compensation: A Simulation, Fifth Edition, which provides students with the opportunity to design an entire compensation system, from strategy formulation to implementation of the new pay structure, complete with market-based actual dollars attached to the pay ranges. The order was placed three times and simulation was missing every time. Customer service support was very unhelpful to resolve the issue

Didn't have the simulation with it, ended up having to buy a new text book at the school to get the simulation. I would check with the instructor next time to see if it's require prior to purchasing
