Clear image and worth the money
I was surprised at the clarity of the image on this thing. Much better than expected and on par for what you get in factory installed back up camera. Easy to install using license plate screws. I will share this note that I found out the hard way that may save you the head ache. There are you tube videos telling you that the green wire in your trailer wiring harness is the proper wire to splice into. While that may be so on some, it was not on mine. After hooking into this wire, every time I hit the brakes the camera would come on lol. Funny not funny, because I had already tucked, taped and zip tied everything away nice and neat. Had to undo it all and trace the actual wire to the back up lights (it indeed was green, but was not the same as on the trailer harness). Problem solved, just save yourself the time and headache and go straight to the back up light, unless you know for a fact which wire in your trailer harness serves it. I am very happy with this camera.

Quality, affordable reverse camera!
This reverse camera works great and the quality of the video is really sharp! Install was a snap, took about 45 minutes, includes drilling holes and soldering connections and heat shrinking them. I’d recommend this camera to anyone with an aftermarket head unit!

Great Camera from a Company that Supports Their Products
For the price, this is an amazing backup camera. Image is good, particularly with a decent head unit installed. The resolution is way better than a Garmin wireless camera. Self-installation of this camera is not recommended for novices, but it's not as hard if you're decent at popping off interior trim and are handy with a wire fish line. Most significantly, when my first camera failed after four months, Veclesus immediately sent me a full replacement. That's great support!

Good Product & Customer Service
First VC1 product received had no video output. Was quickly sent a replacement, which works perfectly. Happy with quality. Mounting bracket offers ability to customize orientation via two screws for angle and 4 screws on the back for bracket modification (if needed). My only suggestion to the manufacturer is to "flatten" out the curvature of the bracket where you insert your license plate bolts. The area where the bolt head rests on the bracket is not perpendicular to the license plate because of the "slanted/curved" design of the bracket. This is by no means a deal-breaker and should not prohibit you from purchasing the product. I just think a flatter bracket would make for a better attachment. That is part of the reason for the 4-star rating, as well as the fact that it is only 480p resolution. But as most other reviews have stated, it is a good product and as easy to install as most rear cameras are.

Works great!
I bought this about more then 4 years ago and it works amazing. I don't have any issues with it and the design makes the product very secure and strong making you feel it's on there secure. I would highly recommend for anyone looking for a good backup camera!

No picture from camera
Same experience as other negative reviewers. Went through all the work installing, just to find out the camera doesn't work. The lights around the camera lens work, so I know it's getting power, and this isn't my first back up camera install, so I know what I'm doing. No picture. Very frustrating. Buyer beware.

Plenty of wire for a gmc 3500 crew cab 8ft bed
Have it hooked up to edginsight cts2. It works when it wants too. 99% it don't So I don't know if it's cts2 don't recognize it. Or it's the camera... And it is wired correctly, got power on reverse lights....

I love it!!!
I like it because of its wide angle. I tested it against some others, and I found this one to be covering the widest area behind. It is great that it is centered on the license plate an makes backing up to a trailer a breeze! The leds give plenty of light at night. The installation was simple, and I am not a professional. It placed easily behind my license plate. I spliced the wires into my reverse light. I ran the video cable to the front of my dash, and plugged in to my dash monitor. When I plugged it in and put the gear in reverse, the monitor came alive and showed a very clear and high definition image of what was behind me. I am very happy with the product and I highly recommend it.

Picture is better than I would have expected for the price! Comes with everything you need to install. Above an beyond impressed with everything that was included. Install takes some basic knowledge, reasonably easy for someone willing to take on the challenge. The lines displayed on the screen to not bend like they would with a factory back up camera, but thinking logically, that is t be expected. Seems to be well constructed. It's been 2 weeks since install, so far so good. Installed with Atoto head unit. Automatically turns on in reverse.

Extremely easy to install, typical poorly-translated-from-chinese instructions but the main thing is: run the red wire coming from the cam to your back up light's 12V + wire, and the black wire to ground - a screw or bolt nearby will work, as long as it's into metal. Disregard the red wire on the extension cord's other end, unless you want to hook up a toggle switch to turn the camera on and off. Cut the looped wire near the cam if you DON't want guide lines on your screen. In other words, you'll either hook up the red wire to a power source at the rear, or at the front, but not both - it's the same wire. Picture quality certainly isn't up to factory standards but it's still a massive help. Plugged this right in to a Pioneer deck. One thing I didn't like is you still have to push the stereo's rear cam button on to activate it, I was hoping it would just turn on when you put the vehicle in reverse. Better decks might not have this issue; Pioneer decks aren't great.

This backup camera is good. It comes with a very long wire that is more than enough to reach the trunk, even in an SUV. The picture quality is ok, it's not high definition but it's enough to see where you are backing up. I like the fact that the camera's angle is adjustable. The camera and its mount are very bulky and can cover a large portion of your plate. It's definitely something to keep it mind.

Nice picture and seems like a high quality unit but the design is such that the mounting arm covers the top part of license plate. Didn’t want to chance getting a ticket for covering part of my plate so I returned it.
