Scratch protection
Seems to be made well. Looks thick enough to protect against scratches.

Good Quality
I just installed an aftermarket back up camera on my vehicle. It mounted to the license plate bracket holes along with the plate. this left a gap of about 1" between the plate and the camera, leaving the camera kind of sticking out and vulnerable to damage or theft. With a little alteration this rubber frame now protects my camera. nice heavy duty frame, good value.

Lack of water drainage, but decent protection.
Installed the 1” bumper on my Chevy Bolt. An important note is that the bumper slightly obstructs the front camera on the bolt. It’s worth the trade-off in my opinion and doesn’t significantly defeat the front camera, it’s just noticeable. The 2.3” bumper obstructs it significantly more, which is why I returned it for the 1” instead. The bolts it came with were the same thread and size as the bolts already on my plate, which is convenient. The one design flaw and reason for the -1 star is the gap in the bumper, which as others noted will trap water with nowhere to go, so I made sure to drill some drainage holes based on the advice of another reviewer. There really should have been pre-drilled drainage holes.

It's hard to see from the illustrations exactly how to attach this and there are no instructions. You could install it directly over you plate with you plate sandwiched between this and whatever backing you have, and the four rounded triangles where the screws go on top of you plate...but that is not how its designed. About 1/4 inch in from the back, there is a deep groove all the way around that many reviewers mention drilling holes into from the bottom (which i did also) to allow drainage, and the plate fits in there. Its a loose fit meaning there is no need to grind any plate corners for a comfortable fit, but it also does require stretching the rubber to get it around the plate--once the plate is in, there is no way its going to jiggle its way out on its own. The question then is, do you put screws through the plate and the rubber triangles that are behind it? could be ok, but the rubber triangles are only 1/8 inch thick, with a raised lip around the top of the rounded point, so the plate does sit flush against the entire triangle, only the raised lip, which makes you wonder about screw tightening. As another reviewer pointed out, perhaps you are supposed to just screw this frame into the car or its holder, then insert the plate into the groove so it is 'free' within the groove. How the rubber triangles the screws go through are designed make this approach the most sense, and it's ultimately what I did. I got some washers that fit the diameter of the rounded top, and screwed the holder to the car's bracket. Then the challenge is getting the plate into the bracket. Not difficult until you get to the last corner. Then you are going to need something like a wide flat screwdriver or a splunger or something to get that corner in, and good luck doing it without bending the plate too badly.I have complete confidence that although my plate itself isn't screwed in, it's not going to fall out. I have less confidence that the rounded triangles won't ever prove to be a weak point and ultimately rip free. For a little more rubber, they could have made a strip the entire length, side to side, that would be stronger and less likely to tear over time. We will see. I also think this thing may not be a single piece of rubber, but may be laminated (?) not sure, but looking along the edges it has appearance and I may be wrong. But if it is, then checking this now and again for any sign of delamination so my plate doesn't fall out that way is now on my list of things to occasionally check.I prefer this over the super big bulky bumper frames, and the price was attractive...but now I know why. I personally wouldn't buy this particular frame again, but I'll use it after all the effort to get it installed.

Good looking bumper protector for 2025 Kia Carnival
Very thick rubber, should hold up well. I bought a licensce plate base from Amazon (see attached picture) to provide a solid backing because if I used the stock mounting plate on my vehicle, the protector frame would mount only through the two holes instead of all four holes, which feels way more solid. The included screws also worked perfectly with the new license plate base. The protector frame is deep enough to accommodate a shark tooth frame and a clear protector also bought through Amazon.

Easy to put on and holds plate in place well
I was looking for a front plate holder that wouldn't bend when going through the car wash. This one did it and the rubber materials makes it safer in case I ever hit something stationary.
