MT. OLIVE Kosher Dills Pickles Jar, 46 oz

It's hard to believe you can get this much pickle for a price this low. While these are not Bubbies by any means, they're an ideal voracious-snacking pickle, because you can eat four in a row without a twinge of cost guilt. I've seen online taste tests show that this pickle actually rates much higher in blind testing than people expect, and it's consistently in the top five of major brands (I don't know how it would fair against "gourmet" pickles, but it holds its own gainst Vlasic, Claussen, Del Monte, etc.). I find these to be "classic" kosher dills. Dill and vinegar flavors dominate, and they are neither sour nor salty in excess. (They don't give me indigestion/heartburn, despite me commonly getting that result from various things I eat.) Additional flavors like garlic are present, but subdued. They're not spicy hot at all. While they are not sweet pickles in style, by any stretch of the imagination, there is a hint of sweetness to them that balances the sour a little; it's hard to notice unless you eat another brand right before or after these. They're quite crunchy, and in this package they're fairly large – neither monster cukes nor little fingerlings. Just proper, serious pickles. I go through these fast enough, I just keep a jar by my desk and don't bother refrigerating it; they'll be gone long before they would turn weird.

Love the pickles, big pickle juice fans. Jars are great for dry goods storage.

These pickles are my father's favorite. I don't care for pickles. The jar is huge and very heavy. If you order this delivered, make sure there's a secure spot for the delivery person to put this heavy jar down. Very reasonable price if it's worth dealing with a heavy jar.

Pickles are good. I like them. That is all.

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Great pickle for the price. Great flavor but lacks any crispness. Overall - great product.

Man, a jar of these lasts a good while, even though I am addicted to Peanut Butter and Dill Pickle sandwiches. If you love dills then these are the biggest juiciest you can buy on Amazon.
