Is this the correct battery for a Pentax Spotmatic2? Present has no marking.

Yes, the energizer 387S is the recommended replacement battery for your camera. "Users of the Spotmatic, Spotmatic II (SPII), Spotmatic IIa, SP500, and SP1000 will be able to replace their batteries with a 1.5volt Silver-Oxide battery". It a on-line order item. You can also use the 1.5v Energizer 389 and you should be able to buy the 389 at local shops.

Has anyone tried this in an asahi pentax sp500?

I use this battery in a 1970 Bulova Accutron watch but according to google you can use it in your camera as well. I copied the following from a google query: Buy Energizer 387S Low-Drain 1.55V Silver-Oxide Button Cell Battery on ... It fits my Pentax Spotmatic SP500 film camera perfectly (no O-ring required).

Battery NOT dead

People who keep saying it arrives dead need to look closer at their battery tester. The BOTTOM bar is for button cell battery... Shows this battery is GOOD. The TOP signal bar is for OTHER batteries (shows dead).Good customer service as well... Gave fast refund when I received the wrong battery. Then shipped the right one fast.

Bought to replace a battery in a 1960's Accutron

My Dad has an Accutron watch that my Mom bought for him back in the 1960's. He hasn't been able to find a battery that would replace the one he put in back in the early 2000's. After some research, I found this battery and it came with the spacer ring needed to retro fit into his Accutron. A little slow on shipping, but I expected it with all that is going on right now. Works perfectly and very reasonably priced.

For Bulova Accutron 214 watch

New life for vintage timepieces. Comes with a great spacer. If you have the spacer, save a buck and order 394/380 instead. It’s the same battery size, minus the spacer!
