WB24X829 WB24X830 Microwave Door Switch

Perfect fit in my 16 year old GE Profile over-the range microwave. I had the common "light and turntable don't always shut off" problem however it was clear that the microwave magnetron itself WAS shutting off at the end of a timed cycle. This was a relief as we could actually use the microwave oven and just ignore the light and turntable staying on past timed shutoff. Note: rather than unplugging, we fussed with the door and latches and could usually get the light and turntable to shut off but it was a nuisance. Some sleuthing online led me to schematics and parts diagrams which showed three small microswitches engaging with the door latches. I removed all three and ran continuity tests which suggested the switches were fine but real world use suggested one or more were acting up intermitently. Note: Two of the switches were "Normally Open" type and one a "Normally Closed" version. This LONYE switch kit contains one of each type. So make sure to mark each switch and location. While I wasn't 100% sure new switches would solve the problem I ordered from Amazon because the cost was low and intuition suggested it was the right thing to do. Opening the control panel and removing the switches is easy and takes 10 minutes. YouTube videos are guides. So, did it work? YES, light and fan now turn on and shut off dependably. Total cost about $12.

It fits PNM1871SM1SS, it works and it fixed my issue of fan constantly running when I opened the door. Only time will tell how reliable it is. Replacement was easy. Just search for door switches replacement for ge microwave.

We bought these in attempt to fix microwave that turns on when we open the door. There are 4 such switches - 2 top and 2 bottom. These are the bottom once and are exactly right for this model. We were able to easily replace the old bottom set. I am not sure about the model of the other 2 on top as we first bought these and then disassembled the microwave and figured out there were two more of these.. Luckily, we bought the correct set. So our little advise is to first familiarize yourself more of what you actually need. We are very happy we were able to fix our microwave as we went to look for new one and the quality of the new microwaves is disastrous and we did not find one we liked.

Replaced the faulty part in my microwave with these and it works like dream

Used to fix a GE Profile Spacemaker JVM3670 that would run with the door open. Only needed the one, but now have the other for when the original goes bad. I think OEM was made in Japan and this was made in China.

Works great, An inexpensive way to repair a switch that tends to fail after many years of use. There are videos on the Internet to guide you through the repair.

Our microwave was malfunctioning -- the fan would turn on whenever the door was opened. I was able to switch out the faulty door switch for one of these, and our microwave is back to working as it should.
