Very bright and fun little lights.
Wow! These are seriously bright! They can be summed in around 6 stages. The white is a nice warm white, not too warm and yellow, just right. Then there's the fun red, green and blue colours and for parties there's the flashing setting! The little remotes are very handy but all the functions are available by pressing the lights themselves too so no worries if you manage to lose or drown them! Can't speak to battery life yet but I would imagine it would be pretty good given that they are LEDs. A very inexpensive way to make your kitchen look really 'finished' and adds a touch of luxury. Really makes the best look of your kitchen for sure. Brilliant little things and fun too! They come with adhesive pads as well, so installed in a matter of minutes!

Decent, but not great
I bought these over a year ago and also purchased a set for my Nan, who has to walk upstairs to turn her hall light on, then back down to turn the downstairs light off. I installed them using the sticky pads they come with, up her stair way. They come with two remotes, so she is able to turn them on with a remote she leaves downstairs and then can turn them off with the remote she keeps upstairs. They seem fit for her needs. With my own, I intended them to be used similarly to my Nans, but eventually got a smart bulb to turn my hall light on, so no longer need them for said purpose. I decided to dot them around my living room and use them for mood lighting, but they aren't fit for this purpose, unless you want to be changing batteries every day. They only last a couple of hours. Yes, this could depend on the batteries themselves, but I use the same (Amazon basics) batteries in a lot of other things, which have no problem and last a long time. So I guess it depends what you're buying them for. A short amount of time daily, like my Nans, is fine, but if you want them as mood lighting, I'd say look elsewhere.

Great expect battery life
Remote control, great. Handy that there's two, although all my lights are in same location. Adjustable brightness and colours, remote or touch option for ON/OFF/COLOUR, wonderful. Unscrewing the lights to replace batteries was a bit annoying at first, until I realised there are markings on the lights' rims that line up where you need them. Silly me! Unfortunately, for me anyway, the battery life is awful. I am talking runs out in a couple of days after using for maybe an hour or two one day, half an hour the next, a few hours the next...and then dead. I am reading reviews where people have had these up for some serious time without needing a battery change. This is going to get annoying for me! Will report back if any changes. Also some fell down a few times, but didn't break and I think it is because they are in a steamy bathroom and one or two were on a not-completely flat window, steam got in and dislodged them. Brilliant except battery life so far.

Simple & effective
I really do like these lights, I am using them under counter in the kitchen. The remote control uses infrared and I was worried about not having line of sight, but it works well enough. It has enough spread that I can hit them all at once or snipe one at a time. For the price point - they are fantastic, functional and flexible. Pros + 5 LED with opal diffuser + the colour tone is a warm daylight as opposed to clinic blue-white. + remote control is provided as well as manual switching on the lights + brightness level control, remote and manual + auto off after set period Detractors The mechanical switches are not smooth sprung. its not a big detractor - but it does detract from the quality feel; as this does leave the diffuser feeling like its just rattling loose in its mount. I'm going to mod these with a sprung foam liner to firm it up a bit - just a personal preference. The device moldings have alignment markers for one possible mating.. do yourself a favour and mark the mating point (before rotating to the lock point) with a permanent marker - finding these buggers, upside down, in dim light could solicit strong language. Thoughts The mechanical brightness control on the units is though inc/dec switches that are actuated by the diffuser - its a nice idea, but it is a little clunky; perhaps if it employed softtouch sort throw switches and the diffuser some moulding intuit the toggle direction it would easier to utilise. This is just an observation - the remote renders the problem moot anyway and I almost never interact with the physical device; but the fact that the feature is present warrants the comment. Batteries last reasonably well - tho the lighting intensity does taper off, they still work perfectly. As of writing this I'm approaching the end of on my first set of batteries (~ a month and a half of evenings use) generally running 80% brightness level with auto off at 30mins. Again, I may mod this to a low voltage DC circuit if changing batteries gets boring. If they ever make a DC wired circuit version of these Notes The lights blink to indicate the auto-off programming from the remote - this was a surprise, but it makes sense and is a useful indicator.

Completely misleading and awful battery drain
To begin with the lights were great, very bright and looked good in the kitchen. The first issue came 3 hours after the first instillation when the first light failed (see photo). Thought this may have been due to faulty batteries so replaced all with brand new Duracell Optimum batteries. Lasted 4 hours this time before the first light failed swiftly followed by 2 others. Next used a battery meter to check the charge in the batteries to rule that out both before and after instillation and the lights fully drain the batteries in just under 4 hours. You may think you’re getting a bargain with these lights but the cost of batteries alone over a year make them more expensive than hard wiring lights in. Tried using the timing functions on the remote but the 10, 30 and 60 minute functions only change the colour of the lights and didn't do anything to the timing. I contacted the seller and explained the issue and the the investigation id done and that it seemed to be a genuine common issue given all the other one star reviews that detail exactly the same issue. Was offered a £10 refund with the promise to improve the lights going forward. I explained that the product didn’t operate as described so a full refund was warranted. The seller came back to say that this was unreasonable and that a 50% refund was the best they can do. Quite perplexed by this as 50% of the £17.99 cost was actually less than the £10 originally offered so not a well thought out negotiation technique. In the end I’ve returned them through Amazon for a full refund and will keep looking for lights that actually do the job I need them to do. It does look like some people have a good experience with these lights but it looks like the quality is very hit and miss. Possibly worth a shot if you’re willing to gamble but I’d prefer to know a product will work as expected when I buy it.
