This thing worked just liked it was supposed to. I had an old apply laptop that I wanted to connect to an external monitor. But the old apples don't have an HDMI outlet and only have what they call a thunderbolt outlet. Anyway, I plugged this in to my apple and attached the HDMI part the external monitor with another cord and it worked perfectly. The external monitor connected great! If you have an old apple with one of these Thunderbolt plugs, I would recommend these.

Worked perfectly with my 2013 Mac Pro. My monitors only support 1440p but no issues whatsoever! Went with the 4K version just to be sure I got the correct resolution and refresh rates.

Great replacement for a damaged cord

Bought this adapter because I was unable to get 4K resolution natively from a computer connected to my TV. If push it, the refresh rate was fixed at 30hz. With this adapter finally I’m able to enjoy 4K at 60hz without any extra steps.

This is definitely comparable with a older Mac book

For my birthday, my roommates got me a projector to use in our house to watch Netflix, hold movie marathons, etc.. Little did we know that the projector came with nothing to help connect to any of our computers rip. I was looking around for some kind of HDMI adapter for my Surface Pro (5th Gen) to connect to it when I came across this product. With its price point, I was a bit of a skeptic as most other "branded" items were as expensive as $50+, but thank goodness I took heart to many of the reviews as this works amazingly and effectively! My only complaint is that you do need to wiggle it a bit and kind of figure out what position works with allow input. So if you're having trouble of the image not showing, maybe wiggle it a bit? Overall, my roommates and I have binged watched 5 movies and 2 shows on a big screen with this :) For a price point at $10.99, I really can't complain of how useful it's been for me!

This is replacing one I've had since around 2015 or so. It works as designed; however, it does tend to heat up where the HDMI cable plugs into it.

All works well when connecting an old Mac air to the tv.
