Far superior all other **styles** of case--will buy for my MacBooks indefinitely
I bought this case to replace a similar one for my MBP that I'd had for years--it eventually got enough cracks to need a replacement. My old one was an iPearl case, and after having had feet on my laptop case for years I couldn't go back. BUT--I wanted a case that had some rubber on it, because I'm clumsy and this heavy laptop goes in my handbag every day. This style of case (you will see it sold by different brands, but it seems like they're made by the same manufacturer) is far superior to anything else I've seen for apple laptops *anywhere.* Reasons why:--Feet. People, it makes a huge difference. I'll never go back to using these laptops without flippable feet. Wrist comfort is superior. I just feel much more efficient when the computer is propped up. Advantage: cooling space.--Super smooth construction. Feels good in your hands, feet work perfectly well, super snug, though removing the case is tricky and takes strategy. I haven't figured out how yet, but I'm sure there are instructions. I also like the vent spaces beneath the laptop. The design shows that whoever was working on this project really thought it through. Nice flush corner edges where your wrists end up, at the front of the laptop.--Rubber corners. Let's face it, nobody wants to put their laptop in a huge rubber bumper. And even if they did, they are not easy to come by. This is the only case I've seen in recent shopping that has some rubber padding, but doesn't severely change the form factor of your computer. Conversely, sleek plastic covers can't realistically give your computer much bump protection. This case strikes a balance between the two. Bonus--gives you a sense of security when you handle the computer, due to the rubber edges for grip. I don't expect the bumpers to protect my computer from a severe fall, but it's better than nothing should something happen.--Great value for what it provides. Attractive, functional, not overpriced, and not poorly made. Adds TONS to your computer's functionality. 100% money well spent. I hope they never stop making them.

5 Years and Still Pristine and Protected
Unsure why it shows as a frequently returned item, maybe something in the shipping and handling? I purchased mine in 2020 and I have 3 kids. It has withstood the test of time, my Macbook has remained in great condition. Love the bumpers around the edges. Love the little legs option underneath. It takes a little force to get it on, which is ideal for good protection.

Great Protection - Perfect Fit - Little Bulky
I have been using the speck see thru for my MacBook Pro cover and I’ve always wanted to change it out because of the cracks it’s sustained over the years. The cover is perfect. Although the “snap on” installation is very nerve wracking (because of the pressure I put on installing the product I thought I was going to snap it), it fits like a glove.Picture shows it adds quite a bit not bulk to the laptop, i feel at ease that it is very safe!!!The rubber accent is very nice although I wouldn’t trust it in a fall. The bottom rubber “pods” lift the laptop which is nice to help airflow.Overall, an awesome case if you can get past the added bulk.

Perfect fit, simple install, feet have not broken in 5 years!
I have had this cover for 5 years and it's great.. feet still intact and no problems opening it. I can only assume the high rate of returns of this item is based on wrong size.

Put 2 tabs by hinge; 3 tabs opposite!
I am seeing the top critical review talking about how the lid won't open, and realize what happened. The directions needed to be simpler. Make sure the top (lid) half of the case is snapped on with the edge nearest the hinge having only TWO tabs. The THREE tabs go up top (along top edge of screen when lid is open). Once one does this, there should be no more issue with the top not opening fully. Now, to the rest of the review. I have bought a few cases for macbook pros... and invariably the hard cases disintegrate on their own. Pieces literally breaking off, or downright cracking down the middle, for no reason at all except for an inferior build. This one, as the reviews attest, seems not to be in that category. If I had my way I'd love a case that was made of softer silicon around the edges, as many phone cases are. But that's almost never done w/ computer cases, and I'm guessing there's an engineering issue with durability when cases get this big. Whatever. This case *does* have a sort of rubberized feel to it on the corners which is vaguely pleasant. I get the feeling that if something fell on it, or it fell to the floor from my lap, the computer would have a better chance of survival by far than without the case. A drop from a greater height than that and I suspect you're on your own.The smokey grey color is also pleasant, and for me with a 2015 15" model gives me an easy way to get that cool 2020 look without buying a 2020 machine! Ha. Not the reason I bought the case.So. In short... case is inexpensive (less expensive than some that are more easily broken). It is a bit heavier than I wish it was, but that weight is due being a real case and not just 1/8" or less of fragile plastic that's going to break tomorrow. It is what I need. If I were a sticker person, it would also be nice in that I could put those on the case rather than the machine itself. The case isn't as "cool" looking as the bare machine, just like my phone isn't as cool looking with the case I have on it. But for me, the case isn't about looking as good as the machine; it is about protecting the machine, at least to some degree. And that's where I'll stop.
