12 Quart Embossed Clear Plastic Punch Bowl

This punch bowl has many features you would want but also some downsides.What I like about this bowl is its capacity, appearance, longevity, and (when I bought it) its price. At 12 quarts, this bowl can hold a lot of liquid. That means less time spent refilling it and worrying about it and more time spent enjoying the party/get-together. Its appearance is actually quite nice, anyone looking at it would think it was a high-end punch bowl made of glass. The designs around the exterior (leaves, berries, and branches) may look a bit generic when the bowl is empty, but they are subtle and work well when the bowl is full. I have now had this bowl for four years and it still looks good and shows no significant wear-and-tear (though I don't use it too often). Finally, when I bought it the price was quite reasonable and I felt I was really getting a good deal.Something I don't like about this bowl is that it is now about $15 more than what I paid, so I'm not sure if I would still call it a fair deal. Almost doubling in price in just four years seems excessive. I also don't like the quality of the plastic this bowl is made from; while the bowl looks great, it feels cheap. I'm not sure it would survive a cycle in the dishwasher and every time I handle it empty I worry I will somehow break it.Overall if you are in the market for a decent punch bowl for occasional use, this is a solid contender. But if you think the price might be a bit too high or are concerned about fragility, it might be worth looking at another option.

Looks nice at a lower price point than the glass ones. Shipping was pricey, but very pleased with this punch bowl purchased for work parties.

I purchased this punch bowl for a Christmas party I'm having this year. I had no desire to purchase the real thing and I thought this inexpensive heavy plastic item would work well. The item just arrived today and it does look quite nice, considering the price. It arrived with a few scuffs on the plastic, not surprising as it had been tossed in a large box with a number of other items I ordered, without any padding or anything surrounding it, but overall it looks fine. For an informal gathering like the one I have planned I think it will do the trick quite nicely. Unless it leaks all over, I'm thinking it will be well worth the $10 I spent on it.

Product states as clear glass bowl, embossed. Bowl arrived as plastic, like can be bought from Dollar Tree. Do not recommend.

This is plastic... but really pretty and it is HUGE. Big enough for that 30 person baby shower or birthday party. If it were glass it would weigh about 40lbs! Because it's fairly light weight (but not too light) it would work for really big fruit or pasta or potato or green salad too. For the price, my daughter and I are happy with this purchase. I used this to make punch for a graduation party and it looked great and holds a LOT! Looks like glass, but so much lighter and easier to use and the price is right! If you didn't inherit a real punch bowl and don't want to rent one for a party, this is a great solution at a great price! Don't forget a ladle! I was surprised at how much everyone loves punch--lots of childhood memories for the adults and the kids love it too...need to track down some older recipes. I found a great one using rainbow sherbet, orange juice, lemon juice and lemon-lime soda in mom's Better Homes cookbook. Add a frozen fruit ring of ice and it is very festive and a little retro!

I'll be honest, we got this bowl out of desperation. We were having a party and our neighbors bowl (which she was letting us borrow) shattered all over her living room. I looked at a bunch of stores and saw similar fancy overpriced models and then found this one on Amazon. I figured if it was terrible it would be a kitschy joke... but it worked great and looked great!It's a terrific size and beautifully showcased our blood orange punch (huge hit, I can email you the recipe). What's more a lot of people thought it was crystal.Bottom line: great price, nice weight, excellent quality!
