Sadly this collection of inspiring sermons by the late great Martin Luther King has only recently been reprinted. However the bonus is the book is well presented with a nice softcover and is easy to read. Regardless of your beliefs, these sermons, which are brief and easy to follow and exceptionally well written are timeless in scope and offer even the most hardened skeptic a great understanding of how the words of a first century rabbi apply today to our crazy chaotic world. There are real words of comfort and challenge to live a better life and for any bible believers they are a must have as they talk about hard core discipleship, what it means to love your enemies and neighbours, how to overcome adversity in the strength of God's love.Even though these words were written nearly 50 years ago, they speak volumes about our society and the unjust wicked structures that govern our world, as well as the apathy and neglect of mainstream Christianity. Believe me this book will inspire you and transform your thinking.

Very compact little book,can be read in small stages but this is an old book and Im sure its been to many places before coming to me.Dr king was truly a man inspired by God to do well for all mankind and his sermons were powerful and beautifully written

This book is a selection of Martin Luther King sermons taken from the early period of the American Civil rights movement. Though over fifty years old these sermons still have quite a bit of relevance to us all today with Racism, Xenophobia, Islamophobia, Homophobia so prevalent.As the new year and decade dawns I would recommend everyone to read this book and learn the lessons it provides. The world would be a much better place.

This anthology of Dr. Kings' sermons is not to be read from cover to cover. Instead, each sermon needs to be digested individually to get value from his message of Truth, Love and Peace for all men and women everywhere. He challenges your faith and any queries and misconceptions you may have concerning the 20th Century, materialism and science. It is a book that has helped me open my heart to God more, and to understand the true dignity of man. This book delivers the testimony of a man from our century who had to carry his cross just as Jesus did. Read it!

This book needs time, after i read the first chapter i needed to put it down and think about what i had just read (1 chapter per day). This is a rich book, Mr King's delivery is simple, and applies The wisdom of the Bible to everyday situations. Good book, So read it.
