I've been using these clocks in the HVAC industry for over 40 years. Intermatic while not flashy or groundbreaking technology they are a faithful and reliable performer. Simple to update in place and very cost effective.

I had an electrician install this for me since I don't do hard wiring. It was pretty basic since it was replacing an existing Intermatic 4-5" square timer that I had had for 30 years at least. Bad reviews on the current exact replacements so went with this. Installer had no problem at all getting the wiring done easily. It's located inside my garage to operate my front porch lights. Unless it quits on me prematurely, I give it a 4 out of 5 stars so I have some wiggle room. In less than a week of operation, however, it's doing what it's supposed to do, at the time it's supposed to do it. Directions seem fairly straightforward and I reviewed them before the electrician left and everything worked accordingly.

I've used this series of timers for over 20 years, both in-and-outdoors. The latest purchase is to replace a Compool pool automation system. I have a bunch of eperience with laboratory automation and I cannot get that POS to funstion properly. The pool service guys know nothing. So my habit has been when household "automation" is too expensive to upgrade, I swap-in these timers. They run a 250 gal. aquarium. They run all my outdoor lights (120v, NOT low voltage) and now they will control the pool. If I need some automation, I just have these run a raspberry pi or even just a few relays. I have never had a failure due to the timers. My sense is people are using these boxes outdoors as-is. Either buy the weatherproof version, or being cheap I will put the pool timers in one large weathproof box which simplifies mounting and wiring. The accuracy of the timer is more than adequate for anything in the house. The big box stores in my area no longer carry Intermatic and the replacement is junque.

Works great….well built

I bought the the unit to replace the unit that had been working great for 15 years. I am an electrician so installation was short and smooth, I like how the main controller pops right out of the box. BUT!!!! The timer was running about 4 to 5 times faster than it should have (this was a direct replacement)) Since it had been wired up they wont take it back. So I had to order a new timer for the new unit. The new timer works fine but that added an additional $25 to a cheap timer/contactor. So for $100 I fixed my pool timer. Should have called an electrician, oh yeah I am one. Feel I didn't enjoy this purchase.

Perfect replacement for my old timer T103, and more silent also.

I purchased this mechanical timer to replace an almost identical unit installed by a previous owner of my house. I did this because the entire mechanism can be taken out of the metal box very easily. I took the new mechanism out and put it into the old box that was still attached to the wall and I did not need to disconnect the conduit running to it. This took only a minute. I then simply had to make the connections and I was back in business. If you do not know how to wire, or how to safely work with electrical wiring, this is not the product for you. I have no idea how long the old unit was in place and I have yet to determine why it stopped working. I think that the gears came off track as the motor still runs when connected. Otherwise, I cannot make any claims as to the longevity of this unit. I will update this review if I have any issues with this product, but for now I am very happy with the product and with Amazon for having this available and for the quick and efficient delivery.

This is a sturdy timer that we use to turn outdoor lights on and off around our country property. This device was easy to install, easy to set, and is quiet and reliable. Recommend.

I had an Intermatic timer that was 30 years old. It had some advanced wiring to it. I was able to swap out the timer from the old box and using the same shell put in a new timer . This left only simple wiring to connect the timer back into working order. Saved me a lot of time. Very happy with this product.
