I Can Do Hard Things: Mindful Affirmations for Kids Review: Beautifully crafted and sensitive artwork. - I had to write a review of this sweet and uplifting book fir kids. But its also nice of kids of all ages. The art work is actually not your run of the mill kid-book illustrations. No, these deceptively simple pictures are actually very emotionally evocative. The narrative, as well, is simple but deep and well crafted. I dont usually leave reviews but I was really just that impressed. I am a therapist and bought this to add to my collection of kid resources. I will likely buy a couple more to give to kids in my practice. Review: I can do all hard things - Great book to teach kiddos that they can do anything

Great resource for encouraging confident & capable kids!
I Can Do Hard Things is such a wonderful book for kids. It’s simple, encouraging, and really sends the message that they’re capable of handling challenges—whether it’s apologizing, trying something new, or managing tough emotions. I bought this book to read to foster kids, and it was a great fit for them. I loved how it shows kids from different backgrounds. I saw reviews that mentioned issues with the printing (like black-and-white pages), but mine came in full color and perfect condition, so it seems like those problems have been fixed! (November 2024)

Great Book and also a guide at the back of the book for parents as a guide for additional insight about mindfulness.

Good Message, but lacking visual content
My 6-yo and I enjoyed reading this book, but all the pages are in black and white which threw us off. Overall, the mortal of the story was good but the lack of color made it seem less stimulating to read.

Good book for bedtime routine with affirmations
I bought this book and it’s quickly become part of our bedtime routine. The affirmations are simple but meaningful, helping my child understand that emotions are okay and that they’re capable of handling tough situations. The illustrations are beautiful and inclusive, which I really appreciate. It sparks some really thoughtful conversations between us. Highly recommend for any parent or teacher working on building emotional resilience in kids.

Empowering Read for Young Minds!
I recently purchased this book for my 3,5-year-old son and it has quickly become a cherished addition to our children's book collection. This beautifully crafted book is an empowering journey for young minds. The mindful affirmations are a brilliant way to instill positivity and resilience in children. The language is accessible and engaging, making it perfect for my little ones to understand and absorb. The illustrations are vibrant and captivating, adding an extra layer of visual appeal to the affirmations. It opens up important conversations about growth, perseverance, and self-belief. As a parent, I appreciate the thoughtful construction of this book. It's not just a read; it's a tool for building a positive mindset in our children. Bought for my 4 year old to try and improve her mindset towards trying new/difficult activities. She is definitely on the younger side for this book, I would say more for grade school aged kids, but she is picking up what it’s laying down so we keep it on the book shelf. She is also in preschool, so I do relate some of the book back to that and it helps with her comprehension. I like it!

I got this book to read with my 5yr old who loses patience when he's faced with something challenging. It's beautifully illustrated and the message from the book is clear, with examples that children can relate to. I'm going to make it a regular read to instill it's message into my son 'You can do hard things, it's okay to be scared, to have feelings and if you try you'll get braver and better at anything you put your mind to.
