BestDuplicator - 1 to 2 Target SD/MicroSD 1:2 Copy Portable Flash Duplicator

I was looking for an easy way to duplicate Raspberry Pi images and this works perfectly for that purpose. I'm able to easily backup and create exact copies of my many Pi OS images. I didn't see a lot of other options out there and what I did find was way more expensive so this was exactly what I was looking for. You will not be disappointed. I normally don't write reviews but like I said, there were not a lot of other options, so I felt compelled to let other people in my situation know how happy I am with this purchase. 5 stars all the way!

I really like this copier. It does copy everything, system files and all. It has some nice utilities such as r/w speed, this was a bonus for me since it identified some bad disks. The instructions are good to ok, The only drawback I ran into is, it will not copy to a slightly undersized disk. The menus seem fine to me. Pretty intuitive. Also need to realize the Source spot is limited in function - as intended. Overall a great product.

We were on our way to install a bunch of Raspberry Pi's. I created a single image and my son was in the car duplicating cards as we drove. Being battery powered is great. Being portable is great!!! Make sure you wait for the success message as once we stopped thinking it was done and had to redo those 2 drives. Once it says done (and you'll only make that mistake once), its very reliable.

I tried to copy pictures from a 128 G SD phone card, to a 1T SD phone card for a new phones external card slot. Got about 80G in and the Red error light came on. After lots of digging, there is information that says different SD card sizes may...cause errors in copying. Not May.. it WILL, cause an error. Not only was the job incomplete, but the pictures were not recognized, and the SD card capacity was reduced by 90%. Luckily a reformat via the phones software restored the storage, (and wiped the drive). But, "best duplicator" is now a $150 doorstop.

So this does exactly what it is supposed to well, although it would be nice to have a website for support. The SD card adapters are defective as previous posts mention. The micro SD card does not slide in easy, so it seems you're breaking something forcing the card in. I did find a manufacturer website that was similar to this product, and there I found that the device copies the FAT table from the source, which means if you're trying to move data to a larger SD card it will mean your device will not be able to access any storage beyond the size of the source SD card. That doesn't work for me. The copy is definitely quicker than doing it on a PC, but I have to return this product.

This little box does the magic of copying SD card without using computer. All you need to do is to put the original SD card in the left slot and put a new SD card in the next slot and use the arrow button to show "copy" In the window. And then push the button with the ⭕ on it and the little box will start to copy your SD card. As simple as that! Wonderful gadget for people value their original data so you always have a copy on hand.

Too much experimentaton and too little manual. Works great when you first format your targets sd or sd micro card using the utilities menu step and then backing out of utilites and find the copy or copy and compare menu. Slot one is the master, slots 2 and 3 are the slot towhere to clone the master. works from bigger to smaller sd micro card when the master data is less then the size of the target sd or sd micro card.

This really is a fairly straightforward plug and play device. The instructions are adequate (at least for copying… I’ve not tried the other functions), and it’s very easy to get up and running. It’s not a fast machine, but it does run at the speed promised in the documentation. So, I can’t fault it for performing 100% to spec. But, that is still probably my biggest issue. It’s fairly expensive for a simple operation, and you’d hope for maybe a little more horsepower to speed things up. But, all in all, it does everything I needed it to do, and it did it well!
