Such a good game, and love the design aesthetic! I want more of them once I save the money for it.

Rapid Fire Game
This game is a quick learn, plays fast, and can reward the risk taker. Unlike all the most other games my family plays, this game does not count victory points, it is literally a last man standing winner take all. The experienced gamer will more than likely modify the rules slightly to make it more challenging in a two-three player mode (this game is better enjoyed by four or more players). We modified it in the two player mode that the game must end in a shoot-out ( the rules as played do not always offer that option, depending on the amount of gold each player has in the end). We felt that in the spirit of the old west, both players have the opportunity to shoot it out over all the gold. In a four player and up game, thus far, we have always had a shoot-out to determine winner. This game is easy to learn, easy to play. We taught our 6 year old to play. I am looking forward to getting the other two games available. If you want something fast without a lot of moving parts, this is a great game to get.

A quick, simple game that provides just enough variety. A great "appetizer" game!
So I have only played this game once with 4 total players, but I did enjoy the experience. This Wild West-themed game is quick, uncomplicated, and very straightforward. For whatever degree players choose to actively utilize it, and having played Tortuga 1667, I feel that Deadwood 1876 is an improvement on the secrecy/deduction aspect of the game. It seems less chaotic/risky/potentially punishing than Tortuga. In Deadwood, players more or less work together based on a location they share, and then will likely have to face each other in a "final showdown" if they advance. This end-game is refreshing because you know at one point or another, there will have to be a last player standing. The theme/aesthetic is fun and it meshes with the game mechanics nicely. My one potential warning to any would-be buyers is that the combat system in the game does involve dice rolling (but not with traditional number values on a d6) to determine winners, which might be a turn-off to some players. However, the game makes up for this by including dice with different attack values (and therefore have varying chances of winning) and a player can choose which die to use if it matches certain cards they hold in-hand. Also, some cards let you add a die to another player's attack/defense roll, which is where some of the strategy/team management mechanics come in. All in all, I'm happy with this purchase and look forward to playing in some larger games. Updates will follow if opinions change.

Family Shoot Out
My family LOVES playing Salem, so I bought this to add some variety to game night. They loved it! Kids ranging from 13-19 and of course my child-husband. Lots of laughs. I lost. Big time. But that's okay because they all had fun yelling at each other. Can't wait to try the other games from this company.

Love this game!
We LOVE this game! My boyfriend and I play board games almost every weekend. I originally bout the Salem/Bristol combo for him for Christmas and both were a big hit. (Salem is probably my favorite social deduction game...similar to Secret Hitler but with many more dynamics.) I bought Deadwood for him for Valentines Day and I honestly didn't think I would like it as much because I'm not a big fan of the old Wild West, but I was wrong! I love it! It's so much fun and pretty easy to learn. We took it on vacation with us last week, and his 13 year old nephew played for the first time and won the game! It is also a fairly quick game so you don't have to devote half the night to it...we usually play a few games in a row and it is a great one to start off the night. I look forward to more games from this company in the future.

Very fun and great for groups of many sizes.
Deadwood1876 is a lot of fun! The capacity to play with anywhere from 2-9 people puts it in a fairly elite class of versatile games. The rules seem like a bit much at first, but after one round of play they became pretty clear. I will absolutely keep this game in mind as a gift and buy the other 3 in the set. I highly recommend Deadwood to anyone who enjoys board and card games.
