Extremely sensitive skin and port-a-cath win!
*Please ignore the fuzzies from my shirt that the adhesive collected at the edges. My dressing is changed once a week, and this photo is day 5- great staying power!* I have a central line (port) that is accessed 24/7, and the catheter and therefore needle getting caught and tugged on (ouch), and pulling up the dressing is always a concern for infection. I am extremely allergic to adhesives, and have super sensitive skin to the point of chemical burns. The only dressing I can use with the least amount of reactivity is IV3000. I was nervous about this, but am so relieved that I don't react too much to this (I'm allergic to skin prep, so this is directly on my skin, with a little bit on the labeling tape strip of the dressing). It gives a solid anchor point to protect from painful tugs and having my dressing pulled up. I don't think the photo shows it well, but when I'm putting the dressing on, I hold the line out from my body a little bit, then pinch the dressing around the line so it's completely surrounded, then fold the dressing flap with the line within it to the side and secure it with the upper strip to help prevent the dressing coming up if it gets caught or tugged on. I didn't think about it when I first ordered these, but it has been wonderful for managing the line while bathing. Anyone with a CVAD knows what a PITA the shower covers are. Being able to coil the line, then secure it with the velcro strip takes the load of the tucked in line off of the shower cover adhesive, which I've found to help the cover stick better and longer. These are pretty pricy, but what isn't when you're this far into the weeds of medical supplies. I will keep purchasing and recommending these!

Finally no tape needed!
My dad recently got a J tube and taping it on his skin has damaged his skin ap much!! He was getting so annoyed to the point of wanting to just give up on life! I saw YT videos of others with a feeding tube and many has recommended Grip-lok so I was hoping Amazon has it. Its expensive!! But it's worth it now my dad doesn't complain and it's not sticking to his skin like the medical tape. He tried it for 5 days, being very skeptical, then I used some saline wash to help peel it off. It peeled off so nicely wow I couldn't believe it. Nothing like the tape. What a lifesaver! I'm hoping insurance can cover this and order it through home health. Definitely ordering again if not offered through insurance.

Securement Device
While these devices work fine, i was unable to purchase them in a package of 100 even though they are listed in packages of 100. The price changed daily on this item and every time I tried to purchase 100, I would only receive 10. Very disappointing.

Didn’t stick for very long
Bought these to help keep my moms pd catheter line tethered down. Pretty pricey especially just to try them. Great idea, but they didn’t stick to the skin for very long. I probably Wouldn’t buy Again, at least for this purpose.

Decent skin adhésion for several days
I'm allergic to every tape so it's very hard to find one that doesn't have me scratching holes into my skin after a few hours. This tape actually gives me about 4-7 days of wear time and I usually don't start itching until day 4 or 5 and it's bearable. The only drawback is that once it gets wet it will fall off. The velcro is very secure and it holds up to constant usage for my tube feedings for opening/closing and adjusting my tube. I have to place it on my chest as my abdominal skin is more sensitive and reacts to the tape quicker so I'm limited on space for placement but for the most part I've had no problems with the tape adhering. Only one lasted less than 3 days bc it got wet and fell off so you'll have to either replace it or cover it with a waterproof dressing. I used the medium size to accommodate my 18fr feeding tube but I feel like the large size would be a bit better. Overall it's still decent for the price and quantity and the quality isn't that bad as long as it doesn't get wet. It also doesn't leave hardly any mess when you take it off which is very nice for skin integrity/cleaning after.

These secure catheter tubing to the leg. They are the same as used in hospitals. They may last up to a week before needing replacement, depending on how carefully they are managed

There are no alternatives to this item in pharmacies which makes it unique and a must.

I thought this would be like the small or medium size except for two top securing straps. Instead, the top straps don't have 'sticky' underneath, so they don't hold the tubing very well. The tubing can rotate easily under the securing straps. My dad is disappointed with it.
