Do these letters interchange and work with the LeapFrog phonics toys? They sure look similar

No. The leapfrog letters have solid backs, these are open. We tried, no go.

I saw this in a toy catalog today and I'm wondering if it will sound out words that aren't really words?

Nope. It sounds out letters singularly in one mode then sounds out some words in another mode. The number of words it can sound out is limited.

There was a missing letter "p" upon opening. It is after the return period, is there anything that can be done about this?
