Threaded to pvc fitting, measure carefully
Threaded to pvc fitting. Using on water storage tank output supply lines. Work great.. Measure carefully, Amazon may have you throw them away on return, which is such a waste.

I recently ripped out and replaced most of the PVC plumbing for my in-ground pool's pump, filter, salt chlorinator, and heater. One of the many fittings I bought for that was the Spears 836 Series PVC Pipe Fitting, Adapter, Schedule 80, 1-1/2" Socket x NPT Male. It fit perfectly and glued up nicely with miscellaneous fittings and pipes from Spears and other manufacturers.

quality product - NPT threads quite hard
used to fit Rainbird anti-syphon valves onto pipes in an otherwise BSF-standard irrigation system;of course the 1 inch threads fit, but didn't compress easily (into compatible Rainbird NPT socket, with 1 Teflon tape wrap + a heavy wrench) - perhaps that's a Rainbird issue.

Use large wrench avoid hand tightening
Schedule 80 coupling for high pressure connection..did a great job.dont use tape use plumber's paste

Used with Spears 852
Used this with the Spears 852 and it made my project easier to assemble. Like the Spears 852 and 854-015 it is built solid.
