Great product!
I was going to run Ethernet to a couple of rooms in my house but after hitting a horizontal 2x4 in one wall I gave up and found these. I used them in outlets that are pretty far apart (2-3 rooms) and the light is red (indicating lowest speed) and I still get 20Mb/s. This is all I need for my gaming computer. I did not test transferring files on the internal network. The outlets I used were on two different breakers and I had no issue. Works great!

Nice!
When I upgraded the my main module to the 200MB speed, my other 85mb adapters wouldn't take the upgrade. This mini adapter is as easy to activate as the previous 85mb unit. Just plug it in and it works. NetGear has several models. Mine is the AV main module and this Mini Adapter is the XAVB. The info says it is compatible with the XAVB main unit only. Truth is, it does work with the AV model, you just don't get the Video capability as in the XAVB series, which is not an issue for me. I had my Dad's desktop hooked up to a wireless router and the speed was OK but not very fast. I plugged the computer into the Powerline adapter and the speed is now up to my desktop speed which has a direct ethernet cable coming off the cable modem. I like this product A LOT!

This is so good and so easy everyone should own this
This is an awesome product. Easy to install - plug both units in and connect the cables. It is so easy it can hardly be called an install. My problem was solved with no loss of download speed. Easier and cheaper than running a cable.

Was only slightly better than wifi for me
It did okay. The quality drops out occasionally. Was only slightly better than wifi for me.

Plug Them In And They Work
I thought only ONE of these came in a box. However, there are two for the price. Yes, you just plug them in according to the directions and they work. How nice to buy a product that actually works when you plug it in without having to futz around with inaccurate documentation or talk to some tech support person in Siberia. Really, a very good product.

Better than a wifi extender
This review comes after 5 days of use. I have two roku players and a desktop PC. Before buying this, my router was downstairs and hooked up by ethernet to 1 roku. The other roku was upstairs operating on wifi and my desktop was on the same level across the room from my router operating off of wifi. The two wifi devices were constantly unstable and when they did work they were horribly slow. It made watching tv on the upstairs roku near impossible. So I brought a wifi extender and moved it upstairs. Had the same problem as before. Even hooked the wifi extender up to the upstairs roku by ethernet. Again same problem. Finally brought the powerline and hooked up the upstairs roku and the PC, so far a night and day difference. Much more stable on both devices. Now why 4 stars? Its childislhy easy to install in which you just plug them up but the instructions it comes with and the online manual are not very clear on how to setup the security and how to operate the utility tool on your PC.

and they have worked fine. I bought two Powerline 200Mbps Mini-adapters (XAVB1301)
I have four Powerline AV200 modules (two XAU2511 and two XAV1601), and they have worked fine. I bought two Powerline 200Mbps Mini-adapters (XAVB1301), and they refuse to sync with my existing nodes. I can't even get one of the mini-adapters to sync with one of the AV200 modules, so it is not a matter of the number of nodes. I thought these systems were supposed to be compatible!

Although they are refurbishes but I cannot see what's the difference compared to a new one.

Received the item on time. The cost of this kit is low but it functions very well in my 1,500 sq. feet house. I had difficulty, however, changing the units' passcode remotely (while all of them were reset to their factory default and were connected to the power line). I gave up and connected them one by one to my portable computer to set their passcodes. That was easier for me than struggling to do that remotely.
