Howl’s Moving Castle Paperback – 5 March 2009

I watched the anime just like everyone then i know that the story was adapted from a novel and its really good it's like movie is howl's pov and book is sophie's pov the story is different then the movie but it is really good it's funny, humorous,lovable characters it's a fun read and also this is my first book this book got me into book reading

The book came in good condition!The story inside the book is very different from the anime adaptation. Only few characters are similar. But enjoyed both. I completed the book within 2 days ( hence I'm a slow reader).

Chaotic good for the most part, yet another enjoyable and a cozy read.

This is such a great book! I personally found Sophie kind of annoying sometimes, but I guess it's normal when you suddenly turn old for no reason at all lmao. I personally really liked Howl as a character and I thought he was really cute and interesting!! I never really hated him tbh. I felt sorta suspicious of the dog man guy (was his name Percival??) because he didn't even have a reason to be in the castle he js randomly spawned and was just.there lol. But I still found all the character really well written ( you too scarecrow ) and loved the whole book sm!! A lot different than the movie but it's alr!! Def recommend!

The characters personalities are completely different from the movie. So if u dive into this book expecting everything to be cute and magical like the movie , u WOULD be extremely disappointed , just like i was that the beginning.but other than that i thibk u will definitely enjoy it. Expecially when howl and sophie fighting and when howls catches a cold 🤣 he's a drama queen in the book. In the movie howl saved sophie from getting hit on but in the book HOWL is the one hitting on sophie in the starting 🤣 . Just go for it its quite fun to read and u will get a good laugh out of it from time to time

Spoilers in review:Howl's moving castle: The book and the movie by Studio Ghibli are two very different products. The movie follows the book for a few pages and then diverts from it completely. The book is magical in itself. It's more entertaining than I expected it to be.Sophie cam imbibe life into objects with her speech. This had a lot of useful and some funny implications. Also, since she becomes an old lady, Sophie acts like her real self the whole book rather than the shy, reserved eldest sister she was being in the beginning. Howl, as usual, takes a while to be figured out. His temper tantrums, green slime, dying of ignorance made me laugh.Calcifer is one of the few nicest demons ever and the way they cooked food on him always made me smile. The one thing I liked about the book more was that Sophie's family was always there in it.

I was expecting it to be like the movie, cause I saw that first but it was nothing like it, in the best way possible!!!The character backstories, the plot twists, the world building, the storylines all of it was just perfect.I just wish there had been an epilogue of their lives together...

Though I love all Studio Ghibli movies, Howl's moving castle had many unanswered question in my mind and so I bought this book to read...The story in book so much different and beautiful from the movie
