I just bought these grow lights because I want to start seeds growing for my garden this spring. I did a lot of research to make sure I got appropriate lights for this task. After searching options, these lights fit what I was looking for and were a decent cost. I obviously haven’t used them yet, so I can’t comment on their effectiveness. I’ll come back later and let you know how this turns out. However, once I received the lights, I did unpack them to look them over and turn them on. I can tell you the lights come in pairs and are very protectively packed. I’m keeping the boxes because they’ll be good for storage. The square frames are light weight, have a thoughtfully simple design and come with great little hangers, which I will use. The lights turned on immediately once plugged in and I could see the three colors of lights and how they were distributed. This is my first time working with LED grow lights. I look forward to seeing how they perform. I’ll let you know. Also, the lights arrived very timely, there was no waiting beyond the expected day of arrival. I knew right away when to expect delivery, which is always helpful. I also liked the information they provided about the lights when I was reading their listing. **** I am now three months later and I can tell you that these lights have worked so well that I just ordered another pair as my plants are getting bigger and I need to cover more space. I planted tomato, pepper, eggplant, kale, broccoli, basil, marjoram and thyme seeds on March 15th, 2021. The tomato plants and eggplants were just transferred into bigger cups and I need to transplant the pepper plants now. I couldn’t believe the beautiful root development on all the plants, which tells me the plants are getting what they need. The tomato plants are fully developing their second and third layer of mature leaves. I lowered the lights to 12” above the little seed pots once the plants started popping up from the seeds. I had a 98% germination rate. I am about to raise the lights as the plants are getting taller and their main stalks are really nice and sturdy. I would definitely recommend these lights to home gardeners who want to start seeds inside to get a good start on their garden plants. We live in Zone 4-3 and our growing season is fast and short. **** UPDATE: It is now 2 years later (2023) and I just purchased another pair of these lights, they should be here tomorrow. The original 3 pair that I started out with are still working really well. I hooked them all up 2 days ago and this year I will be growing WATERMELON!!! I am so excited and I hope all goes well as I so miss USA southern grown, seeded watermelon. Here in zone 3/4 it is really challenging to grow things like watermelon as our season is so short. So I have started them inside with 2 of the grow lights over them. This is my third time using the lights for starting my garden plants and they have been excellent each time!! All the little lights still work, they are easy to hang and raise or lower as needed (I use 2 inch binder rings for raising and lowering) and they are as bright as can be. I use them from mid-February through the end of April or mid-May depending on the weather. This early start really saves money and gives such a boost to getting ready for the garden. Once I am done using them for the spring, I put them back in the boxes they came in because the boxes store the lights and all the hardware really well. Now, I can HIGHLY recommend these grow lights.

I purchased this light set with the mindset of starting seedlings and getting a head start on the 2019 growing season. I have started five different types of hot peppers with these lights and the ones which have germinated are doing very well...a few dozen other pepper, tomato and annual flowers varieties will be added too! I planted the seeds on 12/8/2018 and in just a few weeks I have multiple, healthy looking plants. These lights put off very little heat, at 12 inches of height, no leaf burn on anything. I am not going to try and fruit/flower anything, just starting a variety of plants indoors, keeping them alive and growing, then transplant them outside when the season arrives. Another set is in my future since they are performing so well and I plan to update this review as time is spent with them. I am very pleased thus far with my purchase. Update:I've uploaded two more pictures of the progress in growth of some hot pepper plants. Today is January 24th and every plant is thriving with these lights...I added a second set of lights after about a month with the first set since so many sprouted and I didn't want to let them die off. I have around thirty seedlings/plants now growing well under these lights! More updates will be added as time goes by... Update:February 24th and the pepper plants are still doing well, some are starting to produce flowers which is not what I need from them yet. I am pinching off the buds as they arrive because I don't want them producing peppers until being transplanted to the outdoors. Gladly, the lights are completely functioning too...no burnt out led's. I've added more pictures of the plants growing underneath the lights. More updates will be coming... Update:March 25th...the lights and my pepper plants are both still doing well...two more pictures added. I can't pinch off flowers fast enough to make the plants just have vegetative growth, so I let them flower. The lights are on a 14/10 cycle. I have added some reflective Mylar to help disperse the light more as I've outgrown the footprint these lights dispense. I have 32 total plants growing and they are around 14"-16" tall, the weather here is almost ready for transplanting outside. I'm happy with the performance from these lights, especially considering the price for a set. Another round of tomato and pepper seedlings will be started to continue testing these lights next weekend!

I bought these lights to transform our under the stairs closet into a little grow room. I added some hooks on the ceiling and some chain to attach these lights to. I plugged the lights into a timer, so they turn off at night to give the plants the correct amount (14-16 hours) of light. Upon install, it was a little difficult to get these lights to hang level. They tipped with the weight of the cord coming out one side, so I had to tack the cord up so it didn’t tip the light. After that though, these have worked great to start seeds and grow microgreens. The lights seem quite bright, and only generate a little bit of heat. I don’t think I’ll have a problem with the lights heating up so much that they burn my plants. A few cons: These lights don’t daisy chain together, so there ends up being lots of cords that you have to deal with. I can’t imagine dealing with cords for more than two lights. Also, due to the color of the lights, my plants don’t look green. They actually look kind of brownish and dead under the lights. It freaked me out at first, thinking all my plants suddenly died, but they are a healthy green color when viewed under “normal” house lights. I guess since these lights don’t have many white lights, there isn’t any green light to reflect. Weird, and I’ll have to get used to my plants looking different, but this doesn’t affect the performance of the lights at all.

Good quality. Extremely easy to assemble straight out of the box, the quality of the lights is amazing! The light produces the photosynthesis process and provided an ultra fast and rich growing environment for the seeds! There are two large lights in my opinion! I will be using these lights even after I Go and plant my sprouted seedlings in my garden bed I will still attempt to use these lights to grow some strawberries and tomato’s indoors! I would go go lay recommend this set for your indoor growing or even outdoor?

I needed to replace ones I had bought several years ago because part of the colors quit working. When I replaced one, I realized the other one had gone bad too. They work well - I use them on orchids year-round and a few succulents in the winter only

The quality is definitely not there it's almost like a kids toy size is good there is no timer I would recommend for seedlings cuz you have to keep them close they do work in a pinch but if you want something just spend the extra money but I absolutely love trying these little cheap lights out there is no flickering and they were very easy to install

Good little unit for a 3x3 area. Down side is the hangers on the back are offset making hanging it level a bit of a challenge. Worth the price for two of them.
