NRG Innovations SRK-160H Hub Adapter

Easy install and quality made...made my Miata look like a real sports car!

Bought this hub adapter along with an extension, and not the quick release because I don't necessarily need that function. To install this without destroying your clockspring, I removed the backside gold grounding wheel (?) that contained the grounding wire for the horn button. This lets you keep the clockspring and all the annoying hassle with the horn wire. Cut the 3 wire plug, and spliced the horn wire longer to reach the new aftermarket horn button. Soldered a wire onto the horn button ground and connected it to the extended factory horn wire. Working horn button!

I had to sand the plastic collar/cover a little on the strewing column so it wouldn't rub, but other than that, it fit spot on.

installed on a 2005 nb miata, worked perfect. I had to remove the clockspring but i was able to wire the horn using the paperclip trick.

Easy to install. Had to remove the gold contact plate and the white plastic ring inside to get it to fit correctly on my 94 Miata. The rings popped right out easy with a small pick and screw driver. I get a lot of clicking behind it, Might just be the wires hitting stuff. Maybe its to tight on the clock spring *shrug* There is a plastic part on the clock spring that pokes out, i had to cut it / snap a bit of it off to make room for the hub to sit flush against the rest of the assembly.
