Can this work for a swinging hinged door?

I have it on a hinged door it works great. Baby doesn't know how to open it yet,lol You do need to check the thickness of door, it won't work on a thick door

I have a 35mm door. How does 59mm length connector work? Does that mean 24mm worth of the bar fits into the 'knob'?

35mm is the thickness of the door. Standard doors in U.S. are either 1 3/8" or 1 3/4" (35mm/45mm) thickness, and this lock will fit either however the distance from the edge of the door to the center of the lock(called the backset) is what you need to consider. This lock shows the backset to be 60mm which is the same as 2 3/8". All 1 3/8"(35mm) thick doors that have the hole for the lock prepped at the manufacturers come with 60mm or 2 3/8" backset. I doubt your backset would be other than 2 3/8", but if it is then this lock will not fit your door.

I am installing and relized there are no screws included that attach the two outer plates. What kind of screws do I need to get?

chicago screws found at home depot. Look for them in the screw area in the drawers can buy them individually. There in the pull out drawers.
