Q: Does this let through traffic from hue and hive? i have 3 different switches and none of them let through the hive hub

Q: Can i plug in 7 poe cameras and the 8th cable to a router?

You will need to check the power required by each camera, and compare that total with what the network switch will support (60 W with standard power supply). If they all have low power requirement (8 W or less) it should be OK, but I doubt that it would support 7 PTZ (pan, tilt, zoom) cameras.
