Are the frost tip plug standard fit any larger than the blue tip standard fit?

I think the frost tip is slightly larger. The blue tip fits my ears perfectly and protect me from a VERY LOUD drummer and keyboardist :D

Can you keep the detachable wire on and still have the same sound quality? Or do they have to be off when using them at a concert for example.?

The string does not affect the sound. Just leave it always on that way if one falls out it’s attached to the other one. It’s essentially designed so they dangle around your neck when not in use. It’s very useful to keep them there a while to dry after a sweaty session.

Would these block out sounds like sniffling, but still let me hear a lecture?

I don't think it wold block out sniffling and allow you to hear a lecture. It's much more geared to protecting your ears from loud sounds like loud bass in clubs or a concert and loud street noise like sirens. They may block out the sniffling, but they would make the lecture hard to hear.

Good but..

It definitely does the job alright! Seems to be comfortable.Listening to speech is clear and audible although you might have to focus on the speaker a lil bit.It does get a little uncomfortable, so don't expect a soft, tender experience.Ultimate downside is that it requires cleaning and cleaning can take a while especially when ear wax gets stuck under the flanges and this process has generally discouraged me to an extent though I still use it.It sticks out of your ears!! So you might draw weird looks and comments!
