This worked well on my 2015 Honda Accord. It's the right size, easy to install with adhesive (make sure you clean off the metal of your car first and make sure it is bone dry!) and it does make a difference when it rains. The big drops that sometimes form right over the camera without the shield do indeed disappear. I have a long driveway that I have to back out of every time I leave my house and it's been quite helpful. It's a small price, but can make a big difference. However, it is will block some of the available light from getting to your camera. This won't be a problem unless you are depending on it mostly at night. But it's inexpensive so worth a shot in any case.

By the time I got a change to put this on my car, I couldn't use it. It wasn't in the package on the piece of paper/cardboard properly, so when I got it off, half of the sticky part stayed on the card, so I wasn't able to even use it. I wasn't expecting a major piece of metal accessory, but I was expecting to at least get it on my car to help keep my back up camera a little cleaner for a little longer. This wasn't a packaging or shipping issue, it was a manufacturing issue where it wasn't placed correctly before it was packaged. Sad I couldn't use it at all.

This backup camera rain shield turned out to be a really useful little accessory. The silicone material is flexible, easy to install, and grips well without needing any tools. It fits perfectly over my camera (the standard size works great for anything wider than 0.9"), and once it’s on, it stays put. The improvement in visibility during rain is noticeable. Instead of water running directly over the lens and blurring everything, the shield helps keep droplets off so the view stays clearer while reversing. It also helps reduce glare and keeps dust off the camera on dry days. The wider design is smart it gives just enough coverage without blocking the camera’s field of view. It blends in nicely with the car too, so it doesn’t look like an odd add‑on. If you rely on your backup camera and want better visibility in bad weather, this is a simple, inexpensive upgrade that actually works.

The shield is easy to install, and does not appear to block the view. It's cute that it actually looks like a little umbrella. The advertised price seems suited for this product. I haven't used it in the rain yet, and will update after it rains if it changes my current rating. I removed a star because although the product is practical, it feels a bit flimsy and I worry about how it'll hold up in a car wash or in the summer heat. The price makes up for the potential drawbacks.

This rain shield does what it is supposed to do, but it is not without its drawbacks. On my car, the backup camera is not centered, and this shield ends up looking a bit out of place because of that. A coworker even pointed out that it resembles a certain German artist’s mustache. That said, from a purely functional standpoint, it works fine. The biggest issue I encountered was quality control. The pre-applied tape was completely off center, which made installation more frustrating than it needed to be. Thankfully, the package includes a second piece of tape, which helped correct the issue. It has not rained since I installed it, but I tested it by pouring water over the camera, and it did a good job shielding the lens. One concern I still have is low-light performance. My rear view camera already struggles in dim conditions, and this shade does block some light, which could make that worse at night. Overall, the fit and finish could be better, but the product does perform its intended function of keeping water off the camera.
