I purchased this for my wife for Christmas, it looks like a great family project. Right off the bat, there was no plant food included in the box. Not a huge deal as you don’t have to add it for a few weeks, and there was a QR code for a free bottle. Not gonna complain about it, just something to be aware of. Assembly was super easy. I had it up and running in under a half hour. Everything is well made and engineered. Pretty impressive actually. I wanted something aesthetically pleasing in our home, and we’ve gotten many positive comments. We’re at three weeks right now and only have one pod that hasn’t sprouted. Looking forward to our first harvest.

In concept it’s a great product complimented by aesthetically pleasing design. In practice, the extra bright light on 16 hours a day ruins the room. The app, again great in concept, however is very expensive priced at 25 dollars a month. If you don’t pay the high price it renders much of the product useless. The growth rate will vary. I completed all the tasks in the inbox and paid for the app over the first three weeks only 75 percent of the starter garden actually yielded growth. This was a fair bit disappointing. I also had issues where the photo journal didn’t work. Given the size and number of parts returning feels impossible so really give it a hard think before purchasing.

We have been growing these since Christmas and it’s been so exciting! It works really well! Everything has been growing like crazy! The light is very bright so we turn it off at night. It’s quiet. It’s hard to move around so we built a wooden stand with wheels for it to easily clean around it.

I bought it for a gift and I kind of want one too!. The design is beautiful, the light and it’s bright is great even to light up a corner. Size works perfect for a family of 3/4 or less, the noise is almost imperceptible. Love it, love it, love it!

So far we're about a month into using this. It's absolutely easy and we're loving our Gardyn. I'm considering buying the larger unit in a few months to go with it. Seriously it's so cool. I never thought I could 'do hydroponics '..... but we are! Thx Gardyn!!

The quality of this product does not justify its price whatsoever. Assembly is very simple and yet one of the two cameras did not work when fully assembled. Additionally, on top of the ridiculous product cost, the membership runs between $28-$39/mo depending on your plan (The plan features do not differ. The price difference is to charge more for shorter durations). This point is more subjective, however, I found that the offered vegetables/herbs were quite boring. Of course, you could always use their app to buy additional veggies and herbs at a ridiculous fee. TLDR: If you have unlimited funds, this product is mediocre at best. Otherwise, go with a less greedy company that’s actually rooted in the passion of horticulture.

This is my new hobby! I love watching the plants grow and being able to eat the results. The system was easy to setup and seems to be working perfectly. However, you should be aware that this is a hobby. I will never recover my cost in salad greens. Not only is there the initial investment, but if you want to continue to use their AI assistant you have to subscribe. A two year subscription doubles the price. Also, you will need a variety of supplies like plant food, etc., none of which are inexpensive.
