Great taste and not one bad pepper in the whole 2 lbs!
In order of occurrence. Shipping was quicker than promised. Shipped in nice cardboard box not some padded bag or. envelope. Padded on the inside. Peppers came in two, one pound netted bags. (See photo.). Beautiful color, and feel. That’s about it, cut small hole in netting, pulled enough out to gorge myself. Heated pan, slather peppers in your favorite cooking oil, (Sesame is good.), and place in hot pan. I used med-high, high if their refrigerated. Let them sit still in the pan for a few minutes. They may begin to crackle. That’s okay. Then begin to roll them around until you start to see blistering. Feel for softening as well. You’ll get an idea when they’re done. They’ll soften. Then, sprinkle them with a coarse salt. Some like sesame seeds, I prefer “Everything but the bagel.”. Others I’m sure will give better advice. Like I said though, I received very high quality shishitos. About to buy more. Take care and enjoy your peppers.

Not something found in most supermarkets.
None were hot as I have had them before and you might get one on occasionally that is more peppery than hot like in heat. Simple to prepare and serve. A web search will provide ideas. Very fresh though the delivery truck was quite warm the day they showed up. Do use within a week as they will start to spoil like any pepper will in time.

Arrived firm and fresh!
My nephew, who runs a CSA business (community supported agriculture), introduced me to these fabulous little peppers. I was unable to find them in a local oriental market, so was happy to find them on Amazon. I was concerned about ordering them through the mail, but was not disappointed when they arrived, firm and fresh! If you have never tried these wonderful peppers, they are very mild. I am not a fan of hot peppers, but I can eat these whole and raw. They make a wonderful appetizer, roasted in the oven and served with a tangy dip. The stem makes a perfect handle for dipping.

Mild Delicious Pepper Flavor
These peppers arrived earlier than expected and were in perfectly fresh condition. They are tasty and not hot at all, except fot the 1-in-10 that is the devil's spawn. Still not as Scoville hot as jalapenos or serranos. Blister them in a medium hot pan with a little olive oil, then a squeeze of lemon and a sprinkle of crunchy sea salt and you have a top of the world finger food.

Quality peppers!!!
Was skeptical but, also desperate!!! Became ADDICTED to these, since first "appetizer" in a restaurant(2 years ago). I literally eat a handful of these, every night, y'all.....no joke!!! My local grocery stores carried them year round but, suddenly stopped(?)....so, I decided to give these a try. Have ordered three times now, and each batch has been great. They've always arrived sooner than predicted shipping date, with almost zero rotten ones!!! This supplier is generous with their 2lbs(the bag is overstuffed) and, I've found that shishito peppers "keep" a long time before they go bad(several weeks). I dump mine out on a big platter so, I can pick out any debris then, split them up into smaller storage bags, & store them in veggie drawer of fridge(in my experience, freezing is not recommended). Can season however you choose but, I usually "blister" a half dozen in a non stick skillet, with a tiny bit of walnut oil and some ground cinnamon, plus a few pecan halves....is DELICIOUS!!! At other times, I will "blister" them in a few drops of olive oil with Old Bay seasoning then, dip them in Bleu Cheese dressing, so yummy!!! Fyi, only about 1 in 10 of shishito peppers are actually "hot"(look for ones that are yellow to orange in color)....otherwise, they just taste very fresh & "green". To address the price of these....yes, is nearly double my grocer's price but, what you gonna do??? To this supplier's credit, theirs are MUCH better than what my grocer was offering so, it's worth it to me. Hope this helps the "curious". Cheers, y'all!!! YaY!!
