Oakley Build Quality Meets Meta AI — It Works
I was skeptical going in because smart glasses usually feel gimmicky. The Oakley Meta Vanguard changed my mind pretty quickly. These feel like real Oakleys first, with smart features layered in naturally. Comfort and Design The fit is comfortable and secure, even during extended wear. They look like premium sunglasses, not tech on your face. The Prizm Black lenses are excellent, providing clear contrast and eye comfort in bright conditions. Audio Experience The open-ear audio is surprisingly good. It’s clear enough for calls, music, and prompts without blocking surrounding sounds. Volume is solid, and conversations come through clean without needing earbuds. Photo and Video Capture This is where they shine. Being able to capture photos and short videos hands-free is incredibly convenient. The quality is better than expected for quick moments, especially when you want to capture something without pulling out your phone. Meta AI Integration The Meta AI features feel useful, not intrusive. Voice commands are responsive, and it’s easy to ask questions or trigger actions without touching anything. It feels natural once you get used to it. Everyday Use I’ve used these while walking, traveling, and during casual outings. They are especially useful when your hands are full or when pulling out a phone would break the moment. Pros Premium Oakley build and comfort Excellent Prizm Black lenses Convenient hands-free photo and video capture Clear open-ear audio Useful voice and AI features Cons Not meant to replace high-end cameras Audio is best in quieter environments Requires charging like any smart device Final Verdict The Oakley Meta Vanguard feels like a mature, well-executed smart glasses product, not a novelty. If you want hands-free photos, audio, and AI features built into sunglasses you would actually wear, these are a strong option. I’m glad I picked them up and use them regularly. Five stars.

Excellent product!
This is great for picture taking while cycling (why I bought it), listening to music, getting stats from my Garmin (with free CIQ app), and doing other functions. You do have to integrate it with Meta AI which some folks have a problem with ("You have no privacy. Get over it.") but why Zuck would want your cycling or running data is beyond me. Also, there is not a head's up display, but I find those to be a pain and not very functional. A little heavier than "normal" sports glasses, but not bad. Set up is easy too!

Very good sport glasses
I really love these glasses. They’re very comfortable, look stylish, and provide great protection from the sun. The audio and video quality are excellent, which makes them even more impressive. They’re perfect for running, hiking, and many other sports because they stay securely on your face and don’t fall off easily. They also feel durable and well-made. I’m very happy with them.

He loves them
Got these for my husband for Christmas and he loves them. He wears them everyday to work. They block the sun well enough for him and the picture and video quality is great. The battery will last most of the day if he doesnt take too many pictures or videos. We usually have a 2 to 3 hour conversation while he's at work and they'll still have juice when he gets home. The call quality is great as well. There will be noise where he's at and I can only hear his voice and nothing else.

Fun gadget for cycling, excellent camera and speakers
This glasses gave me so much joy, to take pictures or videos during cycling. Something that I can never do, as its considered unsafe. All I need to do is to say it in words. When cycling solo, music is your best buddy. Quality is surprisingly good. Music will drain the battery fast. You'll run out of battery within 4 hours. Lens is a bit darker, and I'm looking forward to buy the low light lens, when its available. Meta AI is lacking collection (per cycling) photos management. You can only group photos when you enable auto capture. Without it, you can't group them together, making photo management hard.

The video is like someone punched you in the face
Got these to replace my Instant Go 3 on my hat for USPSA competitions, wearing a headphone for listening to music and obviously for the new ai features. I look forward for 4 things. Good video camera, talk to ai, listen to music and the convenience. But, I found that out of the 4 things, the one thing I look forward the most is a good video camera and it is not up to par. Here are the cons: 1. Video camera is not up to par vs Go 3, it jitters for no reason during recording like someone punches you in the face. There are no way to turn off stabilization and it jumps all over the place. 2. The recoding sounds are horrible, it keeps going in and out on loud sounds and there are no way to turn them off 3. Not enough video camera settings, no landscape only portrait, no setting to turn off stabilization 4. Cannot listen to music while recording 5. Definitely heavier than regular Oakley M-Frames, that is to be expected 6. The case should have a tracker build in, if you lose it, you don't even know it I used it heavily for the last 2 weeks since it released and I have tried every possible way to fix these issues. Amazon won't let me post my uspsa video, so you can either take my word for it or check out my ig at hyasuma_pew The Pros: 1) Easy to set up 2) Upload directly to your phone gallery 3) Sound is amazing for both music and phone calls 4) Makes recording/image and sharing things a breeze 5) Talking to Meta AI is pretty cool Overall, I like the product and wanted to give a 5 star but with the video jitter issue, I can't justify all the pro outweighing this specific issue. I am planning on giving a bit more time to see if the jitter can be fixed, if not, I might end up returning it and look for alternatives like Bleeq.
