Great Price & quality
Always go for the Salter brand! Great price and built to last. Have been enjoying omelettes now made with this. Easy to use, works perfectly every time - a lot easier than frying them in a pan and less greasy!

Nice product, easy to use.
I don't usually give 5 stars, because nothing is perfect. So this is top marks from me.!!The egg boiler is very easy to use and clean. The price is quite good as well, but I think it could be a tad less, then it would have got 5 stars.Would I buy it again ?? Yes I think so, but as I have only just got it I can't be sure as to how reliable it actually is.

Makes the best poached eggs.
This is the 5th Salter egg cooker I have bought, because I have converted so many friends and family after buying one myself.I genuinely thought this was just a useless gadget, until I stayed over at a friend’s house, and they told me to help myself to breakfast and if I wanted to use the egg poacher/boiler. I couldn’t really understand the point of it, because you can just stick eggs in a pan (although I had never been able to get poached eggs right, and they were my absolute favourite). So I decided to do a couple of boiled eggs using their Salter gadget, and I was blown away. I followed the instructions to have soft boiled eggs, so I could have egg and soldiers, and they came out absolutely perfect.I went home and I purchased myself one, and tested out the poached egg function; I ended up doing poached eggs every morning for an entire week. All of the instructions are really easy to follow in the booklet, and once you get the hang of it, you won’t need to keep checking. It comes with a little measurement cup, with a small pin on the bottom to pierce boiled eggs, therefore, you can peel them so much easier. No more shells in your boiled eggs! No more crunching on gross shells, and being put off of your lunch. It’s fabulous.I was very sceptical on how the poached eggs would turn out, because you get two small plastic cups to put the eggs in, and then you cook them on the appliance, with the water poured into the bottom. However, were absolutely perfect. There’s nothing worse than taking out a poached egg from the saucepan, and having a load of water flop onto your toast from the residue. You also don’t have to faff about with vinegar, in a pan, to get the poached egg right, you literally just coat the small pots with a bit of spray oil (or fry light) and crack the eggs into them. Done. The bonus is, no disgusting stringy white bits hanging onto the bottom of the eggs, like when you poach them in a saucepan. They are literally solid delicious egg whites with a lovely, creamy middle. The only time I used to bother with poached eggs, is when I used to go out for breakfast to a restaurant or a café, but now I can enjoy them whenever I want, thanks to this gadget.I love cooking, but I used to hate making boiled eggs in a pan, because I had to sacrifice a pan to be the designated egg pan, as no matter how much I washed the pan - Id put it in the dishwasher and it would always be covered in a white film, like a salt-residue from the egg that I boiled. Those days are over. This gadget eradicates any need for sacrificing pain or worrying about how to do a proper poached egg for yourself or guests. And it’s really easy to clean.I have bought so many as gifts for friends and family. At first, no one is convinced, until they have it themselves for a week.It really does take the fuss out of making breakfast.

The Perfect Egg Cooker
Tried every device imaginable to make poached eggs. This beauty makes perfect poached eggs and has the added bonus of making boiled egg's and a small omlette. It's timer controlled so no need to watch over it. Easy to use once you've read the instructions once, simple to clean and compact in size. Highly recommended this product.

Brilliant!!
Brilliant kitchen addition. I've always struggled making omelettes, faffing around in a frying pan, trying to flip it, having it fall apart. Plus having to use oil which I'm trying to cut down on. Then I saw this, from a friend, in a group I'm in. So I went for it. It's a game changer! No oil needed. Mixed up the eggs, added ham, small amount of grated cheese. 8 minutes later, viola, a perfect omelette, nice & fluffy, perfectly cooked all the way through, nicely golden on both sides. What's not to love. Very good value for money as well. I can see this being used a lot. Fantastic. 10/10

So where am I going wrong?
I've read all the glowing reviews about the perfect poached/ soft boiled eggs. Followed, where given, the instructions how to produce these wonderful delicasies, including piercing the egg, and still can't get a decent soft yolked egg either poached or boiled! They either come out with a hard yolk and a runny white or totally hard boiled. Great for salads, but not for soldiers!I reduced the water to try and stop the yolk over cooking only to be confronted with a hard yolk surrounded by slimey white or yet again a hard boiled egg. With the piercing trial I ended up with egg white all over the place and spent ages scrubbibg off the burnt bits. There seems no rhyme nor reason to it. Hence the 3 stars. All in all great for salads, and to make egg mayo sarnies but for the [erfect poached/ soft boiled egg? I think they're pulling my leg.

Doesn't stick easy to use. My husband couldn't believed how easy it was
I'm 77 years and found it was so easy to use. I mixed up two eggs salt and pepper. Grated some cheese and pre-heated omelette maker put in cheese then the mix put down the lid. Set buzzer for 5 minutes and was amazed how fluffy they were the ideal snack.
