How to installing a new watch buckle Step 1. Place the strap flat facing down. Step 2. Wedge the tongue into its recess at the middle of the strap. Its end tip should be curved upward. Step 3. While holding the tongue in place with your finger, glide the pin all the way through the hole of the strap. Step 4. Make sure the tongue is at an downward position because it needs to be set below the frame. Step 5. Insert one end of the pin into one of the holes on the inside of the frame. Step 6. With the forked end of your tool (or just with your fingernail), gently push down on the pin so that it may be wedged into the other hole of the frame. Perfect fit!!!
Make sure you measure the width of the belt (where this buckle will be installed) in mm with a caliper before ordering. If the size is right, it will fit perfectly. It's all metal, with a better build compared to the original which was plastic.

Works for a Swatch
I really only needed the middle part of the buckle, and when I took apart my Swatch's OE piece and compared it to what I'd been sent, the original bar piece that holds it all together is noticeably thicker than what came with this. The springs in the bar piece are also weaker (easier to compress) in the replacement. I ended up re-using the original Swatch piece as a result. I swapped in the piece I needed, and it works just fine. There are also no directions or "tools" with this. A small, flat screwdriver worked for me. Swatch buckles are plastic, so you can use the screwdriver to gently pry the buckle away from the bar. If your original buckle is metal, you'll need something to push down on the spring end of the bar so that you can get the buckle off the band.

Good Buckle Replacements with a Pop of Color
I like to switch colors on watch bands, buckles, and bumpers for a little variety. Wanted a blue buckle, these are nice enough and add a pop of color. I wish they were a darker blue, but the color is pretty accurate on the product page, so I cannot really complain as I got what I ordered. They seem well made and the price is right.

Narrower tongue than most buckle replacements, works to replace thin tongued watch buckle
Got the 16mm size to replace my Swatch buckle, which had a snapped tongue. Was worried this tongue would be too wide but was pleased to find I could fit the new tongue with the old buckle just fine! This tongue is just slightly wide/snug in the band, but it still fits.
