I saw several of the videos for this hair cutting aid. It looked so easy to use in the video. Unfortunately I found it very difficult. My very straight and thin hair would not stay in the comb and the end cut would be very uneven. I practiced doing the comb and lift many times, but never really got the hang of it. I should mention that I was trying to cut my own hair. Perhaps if I had been cutting someone else's hair my review would be different. I also think if my hair was more coarse or even a bit curly, that would have made a big difference to in how easy it is to use. I bought the extra long 4-inch attachment and found that to be the hardest to use of all. It seems that the taller the attachment, the more difficult it is to get the hair where you need it in order to make a good cut. Again, perhaps cutting someone else's hair is more what this product is for than for someone cutting their own hair. I highly recommend watching the videos to get a good sense of how to scoop up the hair.

I am not a barber nor I had experience prior to using these guides. I Have being cutting my husband’s hair since COVID using these guides (for the top) and we can’t be happier. His haircuts look so good and professional that he doesn’t need/want to go back to his previous barber😉 These guides work so well that I just came back and bought the new jumbo sizes 👍 With these guides you will have an even cut all around. You can’t be wrong! 💯 recommended .

The longer lengths are very tricky to use for shorter hair. 3"... Really needed another set of hands to help, but overall a great idea and money saver
