The barnacle 1/2 finger glove is a lightweight and comfotable glove that offers hand protection with ultimate control. The terry cloth thumb panel is great for clearing perspiration. The Silicone"Barnacles" enhance paddle grip and paddle control. The 1/2 finger design protects the hot spots from paddling while keeping your finger tips free for fine movement, electronics, fishing and control.

Lovely. Order small
First and foremost, I wear a women's medium glove. I ordered the Xsmall and it fits as it should to my hand. The rubber grips are, for the most part, helpful when it comes to the surface of the glove. The padding is also appreciated for that matter. I didn't feel my paddles slipping around my thumb or in my palm nearly as much as it would smooth glove or gloveless. My break in ride for the season put these to the test. I only came out with two blisters, and both having something to do with how the glove fit, but I suspect after I use once or twice more, it won't be an issue. Very little soreness from thumb to forefinger, a crucial area for kayak paddlers. On warmth, once they got wet, they were chilly when it got breezy. They did, however, keep my palms warm even as they were wetted by the splashing. Prior to getting wet on the highly breathable mesh fabric on the fingers, my hands were totally comfortable, more so than they would have been gloveless. Overall, I think these are going to become a staple in my gear bag.

great workout gloves
I purchased these for weight lifting and workouts. I was not happy with what was being sold in the stores as the palms were too think and the gloves never fit well. These Barnacle glove had a nice padding, are very flexible and comfortable and really fit well. I wore out the first pair in about 6 months, bought another pair and am due to reorder again Great gloves, probably good for rowing, .An addition to prior ratings, just bought my third pair of gloves, they really nice.

Sizing needs adjustment
I've got big hands, and usually wear a XXL glove, but always measure, and follow recommendations from manufacturers. My measurements equated to an XL size for this glove. The glove fits fine around my hand, but the finger holes are way too roomy. I was hoping for something with a more snug fit. I'll just have to alter them. I can't go down to a Large, since it probably won't fit around my knuckles comfortably.Other than the fit, they work good. My hands stayed warm and comfortable while paddling and fishing in the ocean for over 4 hours. I may even use these as a bicycling glove, too.

Great gloves!
Bought these for a 6-day BWCA wilderness canoe trip - wore them every day and they performed perfectly. I did end up with a blister on one finger, but it was between the end of the glove and the tip of my finger so I think full gloves will be better for me next time. They were soft, comfortable, fit well and didn't stretch as much as I expected. And best of all, after days of exposure to sweat and lake water - they don't stink! On another note, I'd like to give a shout-out to Amazon's awesome customer service. I ordered these with the expedited 2-day shipping to make sure I had them in plenty of time to pack. They sent the wrong size, so after chatting online with customer service rep they resent the correct size with the same 2-day shipping. I had them within 36 hours. All I had to do was put the gloves to return in a box and UPS came to pick them up with a return label so I didn't even have to print one, just sealed the box and left it on the front porch. Super happy Amazon customer.

Great fitting gloves!
I had been using a pair of my bike gloves for paddling, but they didn't have quite the padding that I wanted for hours of swinging that paddle. I chose these Warmers gloves for several reasons. First, the price was right. Second, the reviews made me confident that these were well made, functional gloves, with padding in the right places. Third, I really liked the looks of them. As most paddlers know, the junction between the thumb and index finger, is a point of extreme pressure and stress while paddling, and without good padding in this area, will cause numbness and pain in a short amount of time. Warmers seemed aware of this, and designed their gloves with heavy padding in this area. They also added little 'sticky' nubs to the palm area where the paddle rests, which greatly improves grip under wet conditions. The gloves fit, well, like a glove, and what more can you ask than that? I highly recommend these gloves for anyone wanting a day of comfortable paddling.

Been wearing the same pair of gloves for 6 years!
To my surprise, I have had my gloves 6 years. I was able to verify this by the Amazon order date. I use them for kayaking 12-15 times a year in saltwater. They have held up well and are warm and comfortable. I recently had to reinforce some of the stitching around the velcro, but after six years one would expect to have to do some repair. I think they actually have a few years of wear left. The rubber grip dots came off after 4-5 years, but again one would expect that. I'm not convinced they ever did much good. The gloves are not easy to remove. My only complaint/suggestion is that they add little tabs on the back of two fingers of each glove for easy removal. Other gloves have this feature and it is very helpful in removing wet gloves.

Exactly what I needed - perfect for paddling!
These gloves were exactly what I was looking for: comfortable, padded gloves that could provide some warmth and reduce blisters while paddling. After several hours of use, my hands were still perfectly comfortable, and I had no signs of blisters or "hot spots" around my thumbs, as typically happens when paddling for a while. They breathe well, and fit my hands well (I used the sizing chart). I love the extra little piece of absorbent terrycloth fabric on the thumb - it allows you to wipe your face/brow/etc. without scratching. Very nice addition.

and the fit was comfortable and felt durable upon first inspection
These worked as advertised, they are indeed fingerless gloves that protect your hands from blisters.I used this product for approximately 10 hours over the course of two days. They arrived quickly, and the fit was comfortable and felt durable upon first inspection. After the 10 hours of nearly constant use, there was some noticeable wear on the lining protecting the thumb, though it wasn't very substantial. The fabric was slightly frayed, and there was some slight discoloration but ultimately they were fantastic. I haven't had a blister on my hands while kayaking since buying these gloves.Great buy, would recommend.
