Tastes Like European Coffee but It’s from India
I love Indian coffee, but I am head over heels for this coffee. It tastes like European coffee but it’s grown and roasted in the South. Urja says ‘hints of dark chocolate and smoke’. Holy moley yes. You get that. It is strong and beautiful. Throw some cocoa powder and the coffee and cocoa meld together in deep perfection. It tastes beautiful even with homemade soy milk, and if you ask me, that’s hard to do! I’m so deeply impressed by this coffee, that it will be my new go-to brand. I’m excited to try their other coffees too. As for the price, it’s expensive, but it’s worth it.

Lacked Flavour notes and freshness!
The coffee lacked aroma and freshness. For the price it’s pretty decent not VFM. The flavour notes were missing I could only taste dark chocolate also the crema was missing. Less acidic.Overall, pretty decent product

Wow! Aroma and Taste!
I have been bugging this coffee - south indian filter coffee grind, for the last 4/5 months. I will say this specific medium-dark roast is great both in aroma and in taste. Only thing is we have to use excess of the powder to get perfect decoction. This works great even for black coffee.

Nah...
Not at all happy with the beans. The beans were fresh in terms of packing date but the size of the beans ranged from small to average. There was no aroma nor was the brew particularly satisfying. Better to stick to beans of single origin.

Good Coffee from an Absolutely Fantastic Roaster
I am the kind of person people sometimes call a 'coffee snob' - I only drink certain kinds of coffee grown at a certain elevation roasted to a certain darkness, etc. I didn't read that the Urja contained a blend of 30% Robusta and 70% Arabica when placing the order when buying - it was one of the frantic 'I'm running out of coffee' purchases made late at night; so when I found out, I wrote to the seller - disappointed - that it contains Robusta. They promptly (I mean within minutes) replied and offered a refund while imploring me to try the coffee. I did and wasn't disappointed. I wouldn't recommend this for most drinks other than milk based - but for those, this blend shines - especially if you like to show off your amaetur latte artist skills!

Good Coffee but not strong enough
This is a wonderful coffee if you like black coffee with a hint of naughtiness, i.e. some acidity and some sweetness to it. I enjoy it but the only con for me is that I also like my coffee to be strong and robust, which this fails to deliver. Simple solution to the problem is to double the dose of coffee I use but that also means that it will last me only half the month and for that the price is not justifiable

Nice coffee; beans to be grinded. Not too fresh. General taste
The taste is general and generally good, though not special. Would buy different beans for this price with more subtle taste. If you like plain, slight bitter coffee, this is for you.
