Why did I wait so long to buy these seemingly perfect pans!
I've been using a set of Calphalon traditional hard-anodized cookware for 35 years. When cared for properly, they perform well, and just don't wear out. After that long, the cooking surfaces were well seasoned so I didn't feel the need for the non-stick coating until I tried to clean up the outside of the frying pan and created an ugly mess. I was thinking of replacing it with an Allclad pan—which was on sale at a local retailer—but I didn't like the shape. Then I saw these at Amazon and decided to go for them because even after purchasing the separate covers the total for two was actually less than the stainless steel Allclad. It's amazing how much these pans have improved. They still have the thick solid aluminum for even heat conduction, but a number of the annoyances to which I had become accustomed have been addressed in these newer products. My old pans had straight heavily chromed steel handles that required a hotmit to hold and forced one's wrist into an uncomfortable angle, but these have a beautifully curved ergonomic stainless handles are hollow and cool, natural to hold. The glass covers (sold separately) are so much better than the old opaque aluminum lids that got hot and required lifting to check on the food. I've always felt that the hard-anodized cooking surface never got a fair comparison to other surfaces because the reviewers used the new, unseasoned pans out of the box which require a little use with cooking oil before they develop a stick-resistant surface. I must admit, however, that the non-stick surface is wonderful. That surface combined with the slope of the sides makes flipping food easy—even large omelettes. My old pan did great service for a long time, but this new product beautifully addresses shortcomings in the old design without giving up the fundamental benefits of the heavy gauge aluminum construction.

and the nonstick is still good. there is no warping
I've had these about a year, and they are my only frying pans. I don't own any others. They are a pleasure to use, and the nonstick is still good. there is no warping, and none of the nonstick coating has peeled off yet. I purchased the set on November 2015, and it's February 2017 that I'm writing this review. I don't eat eggs, so I don't use the pan as an egg pan. Instead, I use it to cook my vegetables (especially when I want crispy potatoes). I don't treat them as a nonstick pan, so I still use plenty of oil to get the food tasting nice, and moving along. I also make sure to keep the pan on medium heat, especially when it's empty, because I don't want the thing to warp or the nonstick to come off. The weight is nice in my hand. It feels like an expensive pan. The handles are comfortable to grip, and don't get hot when they're on my electric stove. I had lids from previous pans that fit these beautifully, so I didn't need to go and buy another lid. To be fair, the pans ended up costing me about $50, but I had some rewards points on my Amazon card that I used to bring down the price. However, I'd say that they've served me well for over a year, making the price tag well worth it.

Buy these pans
Where have you been all my life? I wish they had lids, but I love them. I just cooked perfect white rice in the ten inch using a large Corelle plate as a lid! I didn't want to use my old metal lids and risk scratching my new best friends. I can't tell you how many time I threw out at least 1 cup of rice that had stuck to my old metal pans. After an overnight soak, I was disgusted to throw away swollen organic rice like that. With this pan, I got every last cooked grain on my plate, and it was not burned or toasted. BTW, I made the rice, after I used the pan in the oven to roast fries for my grandson, wiped it out with warm water, then cooked sweet granola with water for my sick daughter, wiped it out and cooked some yellow bananas in a small bit of coconut oil for me, wiped it out rinsed and cooked some long grain Carolina rice. I just wanted to test the pan. Everything was perfect and the clean up made me like the kitchen again. I have put the bar keepers, and the harsh scrubbing pads away. Also I banished metal utensils from my kitchen ( hid them from easy access). My family would destroy the pans lol. I am even going to line my sink with a mat. I want these pans to last and will give away most of my metal pans. Will keep some pretty All-clad around for stocks etc. I originally bought these pans to make scrambled eggs and home fried potatoes etc. Now I use them for everything that fits. I want to try the new OXO nonstick pans and other lines from Calphalon to compare durability before I buy a big set. I'll buy one of the smallest pans from each company. a side not. Anolon pans get -1 one star from me. They suck.

Nice pans. Good value. Two year life.
These are great pans. Good size, shape, and ergonomics for most applications. However, we are on our fourth set. They last about two years with normal everyday use (never over medium hear, soft implements, no scratch sponge, never wash while still warm). The good news is that they honor the warranty. I've exchanged for a couple of the larger pans since I use them more. It does take a while to get the new one. It's less hassle to buy a new set. They are pretty non-stick, but not no-stick by any means. Even once the coating starts to fail after a year, it's a pretty slow decline to where things really start to get more difficult to clean. Basically for the price the positives far outweigh the negatives and really the "negatives" can be addressed by using the warranty or just having reasonable expectations for a budget pan you use all the time.

Good quality
Worked great for 3 years. Better life expectancy than I thought.

Slightly better quality than the cheap ones.
I was used to the expensive thick anodized pans that come from the fancy "wedding gift" set. These are not that nice. But they do appear to distribute heat well. Not a fan of the non-curved sides. Flipping sauté items a little different with the "flanged" side walls. Does make it through the dishwasher fine, but cleaning is already easy as it is nonstick.

Great quality. The non-sticking surface is awesome. I melt cheese on these and nothing gets stuck even when it browns (I love cheese crusts). The best part, you can get them in the oven just like that. It is a great product!

This is my 2nd set. My previous set lasted me a long long time with a lot of use. Sturdy but not too heavy with a comfortable handle. The non stick coating lasts long time. Very happy with these.

Finally great frying pans, spent a large amount of money over the years only to throw them all out, hoping these will be around for a number of years.
