LEGO The Hobbit - PlayStation 4

I love Lego Games and anything Lord of the Rings. So I had to get this game. I had heard many good things about the game and they were right. Its a really fun game. The levels do a great job of recreating important scenes from the hobbit movies whether is the troll caves to riding down the river in barrels. It is amazing how they can turn a simple scene as to feeding the dozen or so dwarfs into a level...especially the singing part with dishes. The scenes that play out are funny. The voice acting is great since it is taken from the movies themselves. It is quite funny to see a serious scene acted funny with movie audio. Dont get this if you are expecting all three movies. This game contains the first two "An unexpected journey" and "Desolation of Smaug" with the third film "battle of the five armies" rumored to be dlc. So expect to pay extra money eventually for the full experience or wait to see if they release a full version. If you havent played a lego game in a while they is a new gameplay introduced in the Lego the movie video game where at varius parts of the game you have to collect a certain amount of items that you get by destroying objecs. You then use them to build something to help you advance in game. If lets say you need 50 fish, 75 gold and 25 wood and you have everything except 3 pieces of wood, you cant build so you have to look for 3 wood. Some of the side missions involve this. It will take soon getting used to. One great thing about lego games is the replay value. It took me 2 weeks to beat the game 100%. Once you beat all the levels you may want to return to collect the stuff you couldnt get due to not having the right character at the time. There is also side missions to unlock characters, red bricks (basically cheats), weapons, etc. So it may take you a while to beat. One minor flaw is the camera angle. At times it will cause you to mess up or fall or not see enimies. Which can be annoying if you are trying to get somewhere. Overall, great game. Fun for all ages. From kids to adults. Probably not for everyone but still a great game. Pros: -replay value -fun -its funny -level design -audio from the movies -great family game Cons: -camera angle -third movie not on disc -New gameplay mechanics could be hard to get used to

I played a lot of lego games since the ps2 era and lego the hobbit is literally one of the best in the entire series. This game does follow the first 2 movies pretty well , but story isn't the actual meat of the game. Outside of story you can wander the expanse of the middle earth. The game has 100 + quests , mining ,puzzles , finding schematics for for forging armors , weapons , accessories etc. By now you are thinking wait is this an open world rpg. Yes it can be compared as such. Plus the game has fast travel , provided you find map stones. You will find campsites so you can change the time of day . Some quests are only available at daytime or overnight. I would recommend downloading a patch for this game before actually playing it. It's an automatic update on PlayStation network and I believe on Xbox live once the game is on the hard drive. The game will glitch without it . Anyone that played Skyrim knows that open world games can glitch , stutter or slow down . open world games are difficult to keep up and running at all times. You should download the dlc content . You get 10 additional quests and it's only $1.99 plus unique armor and weapons and you can access stuff on the map right away instead of waiting till you progress further in story. Make sure you do mine for lego ore and minerals and find mithril bricks if you plan on using the blacksmith shop in the village of bree. If you go on the website the gamer they criticize lego the hobbit and other great lego games. The people who rate games obviously don't know great games. I read complaints the the movie and tie in videogame doesn't match the novel. Let's be real how many times did the book and movie meet. So in conclusion if you are a fan of the hobbit , a fan of lego games or even a fan of open world rpg games you are hard pressed to find another that is younger audience friendly. P.s. warner Bros really screwed the pooch in my opinion when they said the battle of the five armies wasn't going to be made as an expansion for the game. Imagine how awesome that would have been . Another story , more playable characters , more quests , additional weapons , armors and new locations.

The Lego teams just keep getting better. Eye Candy is stepped up alittle for the Next Gen (PS4) Controls are just like they have always been with the lego games not completely 100% on execution of the movements but not enough to keep you from complete enjoyment. Soundtrack is 100% Middle Earth (Hobbit/LOTR) 10gb is what it will take up on your PS4 hard drive. Adventure, Puzzles and lots of legos. What else could you ask for? If you seen the first two movies you know what to expect story wise. If you haven't seen the first 2 Hobbit movies you may want to watch as may contain some spoilers for your movie enjoyment. Enjoyment for the whole household. 5 and Up. I see the Media is giving this average and less than average scores. This Game you can spend hours just exploring. It has its moments with camera angles. but what game dont? Items you pick up can be used for the section you use them at for building Bridges and other items. Great learning tool for the building part for the young ones as they can look at the shape and match it by selecting the next piece. Hours of enjoyment with or without the kids.

I didn't think the kid would like it, having never seen the movies before playing it, but the characters are fun, the activities are great, and it's a wonderful gave for 2 players. Still has its glitches like most Lego games do, and traveling around the maps can get frustrating at times, but overall a great game.

Le doy 4 estrellas porque el juego no es un clásico pero la calidad, atención al detalle y diversión están ahí. Me gustaron los pequeños giros a la historia, con respecto a las películas y el libro, para darle una aire más cómico y suelto (muy ad hoc para un juego de LEGO) Es excelente para niños, mi hija de 5 años esta fascinada jugándolo; pasó el primer nivel por si sola por lo que no es extremadamente complicado para un niño de esa edad.

Peccato sia solamente in lingua originale(inglese)ma mio figlio ha apprezzato ugualmente il regalo. Gioco realistico come il film.

レゴをプレイするのはMarvel Super Heroesについで2作目です。 キャラクターの動きがいちいちかわいくて癒されます(^-^) グラフィックも綺麗だと思います。 物語のナレーションが多いのと、キャラクターがけっこうおしゃべりするので、 多少英語がわからないとつまづくかもしれませんが、ストーリーはあらかた理解できると思います。 それでも…という方は、先に映画を見てからプレイしてもいいかもしれません。 ミニゲームやコレクタブルも多いのでやり込み要素は十分すぎるくらいだと思います。 メインストーリーが終わっても長く遊べます。 個人的にはタイムレースが意外と盛り上がって好きです。 音楽も映画そのままなので、ファンの方にはぜひプレイして頂きたいです。 もちろん、特にファンでない方も楽しめる内容だと思いますのでおすすめします(^-^) レゴはほとんど北米版しかないので、これからもっとローカライズされるといいですね。
