First, despite what another reviewer stated, this potato soup mix does NOT contain chicken or chicken broth as of this posting.The mix works just like the other dry potato soup mixes - boil water, add mix, heat for 15-20 minutes stirring regularly, let stand to thicken.It's great for camping, etc.The taste is as good as the big name mixes. Not bland straight. But you can easily build upon it - fresh potatoes and other veggies, cheese, bacon, etc. You could even switch out the water for various broths for additional flavors.Prepared per the label, it is a thick creamy soup. Increasing or decreasing the water amount will change that. After the 5 minute wait, it is fairly close to full consistency (and is still hot), but it will continue to thicken a bit more with a longer sit.You can easily make a few servings and refrigerate for quick microwavable meals.The price is good. And with the long shelf life, you can buy several when the price is right and just tuck them away for later.

I'm impressed. Here's my take on this product, I think you'll find it useful.First, I normally buy the bears creek broccoli cheddar soup, which normally runs about $4 a pouch. 1 pouch makes 8 cups so you're looking at roughly $1per 2 cups. This Auguson farm product comes in at about equal to 6 of those BC pouches if you follow their instructions, I'll get back to that in a minute.The product tastes very good, I was pleased. However the reconstituted broccoli bits do have a funny texture so I might cook my next batch a little longer to see. The resulting soup is very thick; so I'd recommend adding a bit more water and/or cream to your mix when you make it, the upside is that thins the product a little but also volumizes it so you get more than the # of servings they indicate on the packaging. This ability to make a filler is going to stretch your dollar a little farther for the cost of the soup but you can thicken or thin to your preference. There's no need to add flavor really, its quite tasty but do add pepper, bacon, cream, broccoli cutlets, parmesan etcetera to customize your own flavor preferences.All in all the compact container and ease of creation are going to make this a new future buy for my household for certain, the long shelf life and ease of storage take up minimal shelf space yet provide tons of soup at the drop of a hat, I definitely recommend this product. This is the ONLY brand that even compares in flavor to the bear creek soup.

Hey, it's rich, hearty and warming. At least that is what the label says. I bought some to store for hard times, but got an extra can to see if it was worth buying more. Its decent. Not haute cuisine, but it's decent enough to eat for a quick meal. It totally does take a while to prepare it. You can't just add water and eat it. You have to cook/simmer it for 15 minutes or so. If you do not have the ability to heat things this is not going to be much help in an emergency. Think small butane camping stove. You will have to play with it to get the consistency you like. Prepare it per the label the first time then adjust as necessary.

This was such a good purchase , my family loves it . Why only 4 stars if we loved it soMuch you ask ? Well even thou it’s amazing and tasty AF the broccoli pieces sometimes don’t fully rehydrate the way it should and are like tiny pieces of wood . Now it’s not all of it but enough to notice for me . Granted if it were used as emergency food I’d not care at all but we used it as dinner for a test run of what it cooks up as . I found that adding extra broccoli in the form of either fresh broccoli or frozen broccoli makes up for the tough wooden pieces Iv gotten . My dog likes the tough wooden like broccoli pieces I fish out after they to chew them . So I guess it’s kinda a win -win . In an emergency I’d be thrilled to eat this , tough pieces or not . It’s a solid shelf staple to have for emergencies. I think it’s a worthwhile investment to buy . This brand is always a great investment. Iv never bought anything from this brand that I didn’t like . My kids eat it happily too . It passed the picky eater test .

This soup was easy to make and tasted great. Second time I made it I added broccoli and cauliflower chunks, made it even better. This soup mix leaves it to you if you want to add things or not. Has a long shelf life unopened.

Delicious and easy to make. Doctored or not. Great to have in stocks. You'll never go hungry.

Very yummy and good to have on hand. Very easy to make and the size and shelf life is wonderful.This brand makes several items and everything we have tried so far we are really pleased. Price is fair.

Excellent Cheesy Broccoli Soup Mix in the number 10 Can that can be resealed with the included plastic lid for smaller portions to enjoy at any given time. Will store unopened for many years as a delicious reliable storable food source.Excellent Product that I can highly recommend.
