Timberland Womens Ellsworth

These shoes are awesome! I ordered the black and the tan colors. I am a size 9 in every single shoe manufacturer out there. Merrell, other Timberland shoes, New Balance, Rocket Dog, Steve Madden, Born, etc, etc, etc, always a size 9. I also tried these in a size 8.5 based on another review, but they were too small.The sole is glued on, it is not stitched on. The inside leather covered footbed does provide okay support and great cushioning for a flat. These look and feel like a great quality shoe. I wear my black ones more than I do the tan ones, and they've held up very well. I occasionally use a leather conditioner on them to keep them looking good. I am able to walk and stand comfortably in these all day after I had broken them in.My only complaint is that because they have a leather covered cushioned footbed both of my pairs make goofy noises while I walk.Great shoe for a great price! Not something you'll only get a couple seasons out of.

I have been looking for the perfect flats for my wide feet forever! I took a chance after reading the reviews on Amazon that these ballet flats might work. Unfortunately, the width was too narrow in a wide and my toes hit right on the end of the shoe. Desperate to own a cute pair of flats, I exchanged for the next half size up. UGH! These worked in the width but slipped off of my feet with every step. There was a good inch of heel gap in those flats. Needless to say, my search continues...

These are nice. They are a little bit wide through the middle and deep in the toebox but heel and toe seem to be true B in width, and it's nice to find flats with heels that aren't gapingly wide in relationship to the rest of the shoe. The style is good, not quite all the way to stylish but a good shape and the leather is nice and blessedly not patent leather. They are reasonably comfortable and stay on despite feeling too wide, what magic they use to accomplish this I do not understand, I would expect to be stepping out of them but it doesn't happen, they stay on my feet as I walk. The heels are too hard feeling and I need bandaids to keep from getting blisters, but this may just be because they are very new. They do have arch support but personally I do not care about that, don't like my arches to be splinted, it's not an advantage in my view.I measure a true 10B, and usually need 11A-B in running shoes, 9.5AA or 10AA in high heels, and 10 to 11AA or AAA in flats, but in these a 10B was the correct width and length.

I like Timberland shoes a great deal and particularly the Ellsworth Ballet Flats. BUT - the light suede color is VERY impractical. They stain and scuff in the blink of an eye. Do not wear them in rain or in winter - the moisture will stain them. Do not wear them casually - they'll get wear marks and scuff marks quickly. Do not spill anything or let any spilled thing splatter nearby - they stain. If you buy these plan to buy a suede cleaner and suede brush as the same time. Oh, and save them for church or dress wear only. HOWEVER - I am writing a fabulous review for the leather version of this style of shoe. In addition to the light colored suede shoes, I have black, blue and tan leather versions of this style and I LOVE them. So - a good review with the stated caveat for the light tan suede color.

I wanted to like these shoes so bad, but unfortunately, they are extremely uncomfortable. I can barely wear them for even short periods of time without my feet aching so badly. My feet get straight tired after wearing these all day, like I ran a marathon or something. I work in an office, so I'm not standing most of the day, and I can barely even walk if I've worn them to work. And God forbid I have an errand to run after work in these, I am just dying by the time I can get home to take them off.The leather is way to tight, it's too narrow in the top for my toes, and something about the soles are so uncomfortable for me. Also, the back of the shoes rubbed my ankles terribly, where it was so bad I had to leave work early one day because my feet were dripping blood. I've given these shoes about a month, since they were expensive, but I honestly will never wear them again. It's pretty disappointing.

I love the idea of flats, but about 95% of the pairs I try are really uncomfortable. I think shoes should feel good from the get go. I'm not willing to suffer through blisters or red spots for a few wears before they're "broken in." My right foot measures right at an 8 and my left is slightly bigger. I wear an 8 or 8.5 in casual/dress shoes and a 9 in athletic shoes. I ordered these in an 8.5 and they fit great. There's no rubbing in the heel, they don't pinch in the toes, there's no pressure from the top of the shoe, and there's no "toe cleavage." These get a big thumbs up from me. They're as supportive as a well made flat can/should be.

Ouch! nice looking, but not much padding, if you get tired feet standing at work, or walking about, these are not for you. also, shoe rubs. All around, not very comfortable, unless for very short periods of time, which of course, doesn't make a lot of sense on the "usefulness" spectrum.

I bought these in size 11, wide. I have broad feet that are prone to swelling. These fit me really comfortably, and I loved the colour. It looked rugged a little distressed, which I liked. It is true to the picture, save for a few small details that make the shoes look distressed. The material is tough, but soft on my feet. There's plenty of room to wriggle my toes, and I can't wait to get another pair of similar shoes.

Gut verarbeiteter, sehr bequemer und robuster Schuh. Allerdings muß man ihn eine halbe Nummer größer bestellen. Da das Leder etwas rigide ist und es leicht zu Blasen kommen kann, am besten die Schuhe erst mit dicken Socken anziehen, einem heißen Fön aufwärmen, in der Wohnung umhergehen und die Schuhe an den Füßen abkühlen lassen.

Nice shoes, but they're quite narrow so can't wear for too long without small toe being a bit crushed.
