This brick making sand was fun to play with. My boys, 8 and 4, enjoyed the building part as much as smashing down the structure.

My niece loves this sand kit - she keeps carrying it around with her.Fun to mould the bricks and add the windows and roof to make a house.

When I first looked at this kit I didn't think it was much use. One of the fastenings came off the box so not a good first impression. The brick maker didn't, move much so would it work and can sand be sticky? I opened the sand and was going to use the scoop but I didn't need to as you can pick up a clump of it. More of a cross between clay and sand so easily moulded, the sand was pressed into the brick maker, pressed down hard with fingers, scraped off level with the shovel and then impressed with the lever. You need to take care removing the blocks but it did make a good block with convex Lego type dots on one side, and concave on the other so that they interlock. The plastic house parts are good to include in a building and offers a degree of flexibility.I love the sand and the block making; great idea, bit fiddly but very satisfying. Great activity. Wev recently done this un a tuff tray when weather has been bad but this can also be use outside. Comes in a carry case so easy to carry to take away or places. Comes with tools. Good quality and lots of fun
