Wilson Sporting Goods Ultra Complete Package Golf Set

I recently took up playing golf and not wanting to spend a lot of money up front on clubs I bought this set from Wilson. It has all the clubs a beginner needs except a sand wedge. I initially was going to buy a used set of clubs at the 2nd hand sporting goods store but to get everything this new set has would've cost more. I heartily recommend it for a beginner golfer who is unsure if golf is for them and doesn't want to invest a lot of money on equipment.

First things first, I'm far from a great golfer and I wouldn't be the one to teach you anything about golf other than how to go out, have fun with good friends and try not to take 6 hours to play a round. With that said, I wanted a set of clubs that would work for the amount I play (infrequently). These are fantastic beginner or "I rarely play but it's fun" clubs. It felt good when I hit a good shot off the tee or approaching the green. I absolutely loved the hybrid club when I was on a par 5 or other longer holes on the fairway. Also, in one round, I got the feel of the irons where I could shoot from 100 yards or less and put spin on the ball instead of watching it zip across the green! That made me feel like I knew what I was doing (I don't... I know my place in the golf life!).Anyway, if you're starting out or want to get a decent set of clubs for a great price just to have fun, I highly recommend these.

Beginning golfer and didn't want to invest a fortune to learn to play. Where I live clubs and a bag would cost a grand for the bottom of the market. I find this a great starter set and now that I am sure I like the game will consider upgrading at some point but only after my ability has improved. If not for a set like this I don't know that I would have joined my local club and be playing a few times a week now.What a great, horrible, wonderful, and frustrating past time!!

Before buying this set, I owned the similar Top Flite XL set for one round of golf. I am a beginning golfer who has been plaing 1-2 rounds per week over the last month.Bag - This bag seems to be a slightly better quality bag than what came with the Top Flite XL set. There is a nice soft lined pocket that I use for keys, wallet, and cell phone. The stand works just fine and levers open with an automatic pedal at the bottom of the bag. I only wish a rain cover came with the set.Putter - Works just fine. I however wish it was more of a mallet style putter but that is a personal preference. The paint job on the putter head is rather cheap looking.Irons and PW - I find the irons and wedge easy to hit and appear to be well made. The finish of these clubs is the best in the bag and is better than those included in the Top Flite XL set.Drivers and hybrids - It is easy to make contact with these drivers. The yellow alignment arrows on the tops of these clubs are easy to see. My biggest complaint with the entire set is the finish on these clubs. The paint is great but whoever did the masking job must have done it in their garage. The edges of the paint are uneven and a bit erratic. Out of fairness, I had this same gripe with the Top Flite XL set so it seems it may be an issue for clubs in this price range.Overall, I like this set quite a bit and would have given it 5 stars had it not been for the finish issues on the putter, drivers, and hybrid.

Great starter set. This is my first set of clubs. The back pack style straps make carrying them a breeze. I am certainly not a good golfer but I can tell you that this is certainly a quality set. Plenty of pocket space for tees, balls, etc. The putter will likely be the only club I swap out, I felt like it was a little too basic. I would like something that will help me line up my shot a little better

...I am by no means a pro. That said, as someone just starting out and learning to love the game, these clubs are ideal. I know that I have the golf bug, but $1000 set of clubs is a ridiculous investment for players yet to learn their tendencies and club likes/needs. For around $150 you can get a solid set that seems to be very forgiving. Save your money for the range/course and learn with a cost effective set. Even if you outgrow them quickly, $150 won't break the bank! For those of you that have looked at the Callaway Strata sets and can't find a comparison, I too looked at both. But I am not disappointed in my purchase at all

This set exceeded my expectation. The clubs and bag set have the appearance of costing far more than the the selling price. I am just re entering the game after years of non play and wanted to get a "starter set" well I got far more... the quality far exceeds anything I looked at in the big chain sports stores.

I bought these for my husband who is an occasional/ not great golfer. He usually just rented clubs but he's a lefty and was having trouble finding clubs at many of the clubs he'd go to. These clubs are great for beginners or for the occasional golfer. I'm sure if he starts to golf more or improves he'll want a better set but these will do until then.

Solid beginners set

I suck at golf. Just started last year. Needed to buy a set for my own. These didn't disappoint. Didn't care much for the hybrid.. but for a starter set.. I couldn't complain.

Ggreat clubs for the average beginner..... Low Irons play well ...... the 3w, driver, are alittle light, but perfect for those who play casually.

Great starter kit to see if you want to get back in the game. Only club I could care less for is the hybrid 4 iron, I would rather of had a traditional 3 and 4 iron.

Got this set a few years ago and will be passing them on them on to my cousin for him to learn on and enjoy.

I've used these clubs for a couple of years and the quality and price were excellent. I was a total beginner and now I'm much better and am still using these clubs.

Bought these for my husband. He just got back into golfing after a 10+ year break. He said these clubs are great. They play nice and have a nice feel.
