Amulet #1-8 Box Set

My son bought amulet at the bookstore. Trying to be a good mom, I read the book before he did. I loved it. Then he loved it. Bought the set “for him” 😉 and after two days am on book 4 myself (he’s on 3). These are great graphic novels- very engaging, just enough action and creepiness to keep them interested but nothing morally offensive that I have seen yet. It’s hard to find a balance of clean media that still holds their attention vs just inappropriate stuff and this series does it! The set itself is very high-quality. All eight books are full color and the box is nice. Great value to get all eight books for $58.

I love these books! I had to order the whole set to read and display on my shelf. It’s a nostalgic elementary school book for me.

Daughter loves the series and books!

My son is 9 years old and his last book before "Amulet" was about Percy Jackson. I tried to talk him out of purchasing comic books because I find them very childish, but he insisted and he really liked them! He read 2 books per day, forgot about his nintendo, playstation and tablet and was just reading! I never saw such dedication with the any of the previous books. Of course, I recommend them.

Beautiful set for a gift for a graphic novel fan.

Amulet as a series is wonderful and children ~8-12 years old will love it. My problem is that I ordered a box set and got the Indian market version. This is a lower quality product and sold for a lower price due to that market not being able to afford the more expensive version. I suspect the seller kept the price difference. I am glad people who live in India can enjoy this series but the printing is lower quality and not what I expected. I have attached pictures to demonstrate the difference in print quality. Again, it is a wonderful series, I am happy there is a more affordable version for areas that can't afford the nicer version but I was expecting a US version since I bought it from the US from the US version of Amazon.

My 10 year old daughter has always struggled with sticking to any book she begins. She'll get a few chapters in and then get bored, so I have been purchasing graphic novels for her to pique her interest in reading more. I saw this set of graphic novels, read the reviews, and decided to get it for her birthday. It was a hit! She LOVED these books. She read the entire set in a week!!! When asked what she loved the most about the Amulet series, she replied "EVERYTHING!" The pictures are engaging, and she loved the story line. I would love to see more by this author!!

Value for money boxset,the story and art is too good,children will like it most,but others will enjoy too

I was not sure of what I bought, when I bought this. The juvenile art style made me think this was going to be another generic action fantasy for kids. But, boy was I wrong ! Right from the first pages I was hooked, the characters were appealing and the world building started to be noticed on the first volume alone. By the time I reached book 3 I was thinking this was one of the best fantasy stories I’ve came across in a decade or two. The open world feel of the locations, the steampunk imagination in a cross between Miyazaki and maybe Moebius , the character development and the twists make for an exciting read. No mater what age you are. It’s too bad many people will think this is just for kids when it’s actually for any age if you love good written fantasy stories. I don’t think I ever came across a fantasy work “for kids” with such a broad appeal since I read the “Neverending Story” novel by Michael Ende many years ago. Don’t let the kiddie visual style fool you, this series is fantastic and it’s more mature than 99% of what comes out of Marvel or DC stuff these days. The story is epic, the characters are unforgettable and the world building is just awesome. It’s true, this box does not have the last volume of the story which is going to come out in 2024, but don’t let that be an excuse not to buy this set now. Get it. If you love fantasy you will be surprised. I’m 54 years old and I put this graphic novels among any of the fantasy classics out there. Just brilliant.
