CricutAcrylic Gel Pens Set, 1.0 mm (6 ct) - For use with Maker, Explore, & Venture Machines

The description states they are for Venture, Maker, or Explore. They did not fit my Maker. But they are a perfect fit in the Joy Xtra. They write in a bright write and need a bit of drying time. Improved coverage over Cricut’s previous pens. But drawing is inconsistent.

These Cricut pens work extremely well. The colors are bright and vibrant, the ink flows well and dries quickly, and the end result is a shiny, semi-gloss finish with little to no bleeding. They’re easy to use, and each pen contains a substantial reservoir of ink, so I expect them to last for a good long while. They feel sturdy and well-made, and are a good size to use as regular pens as well, if for example you want to sign your name on a card with matching ink.I only really have two complaints about them:First, I wish that this four-pack only included one white pen, and three other colors. White is great for some things, but I personally use a lot of white cardstock in my projects, so white ink is of limited use to me. I certainly don’t need two of them in every package.Second, the pack I received was supposed to include 2 white, 1 blue, and 1 yellow. Instead of the yellow however, I received pink. This isn’t the end of the world, and I’m sure I’ll find uses for it, but it does make me worry a little about their quality control. Hopefully it's just an error in the listing that will be cleared up soon.Overall, these are excellent pens for use in a Cricut machine, and offer good value for money at about $2.50 per pen at time of review. I'll likely be ordering them again when these run out of ink!

I used these Cricut Acrylic Gel Pens with my Cricut Explore Air 2. I know they’re designed specifically for the Cricut Joy and Joy Xtra machines, but I decided to try them anyway since I have a pen adapter. The pens are odorless and feel smooth and comfortable to hold.Before using them with my Cricut machine, I tested them on a piece of paper. They all wrote smoothly, the ink flow was consistent, and the colors were vibrant.When I used them with my Cricut machine, the first attempt came out incomplete, some parts of the drawing didn’t have ink. I tried again, but I didn’t let the ink dry before hitting the “Continue” button, which caused a smudge in the drawing.Overall, these pens are still a good addition to my Cricut accessories. They work well for smaller drawings, and moving forward, I will make sure to let the ink dry completely before adding another layer on top.

Although the folks at Cricut originally developed this four-pen set for use with the Cricut Joy and Joy Xtra machines, I do not own either device. Instead, I have used the pens free handed. I am currently working with cardstock to design Halloween-themed items, and these pens have performed very well.The pink and blue pens in the set are especially vibrant and really stand out on lighter cardstock. The two pens with white ink work perfectly on darker cardstock and add great contrast to my designs. The ink does smear if touched immediately, so it is best to allow a bit of time for it to dry after application.In terms of value, this set represents a good deal, especially considering the high quality of these Cricut pens. However, I would have preferred to see a wider variety of colors included in the set. Having two pens with white ink feels redundant, and a different color would have added more versatility.The Cricut Acrylic Gel Pens offer first class quality and vibrant results, even when used outside their intended machine setup.

The positive comment I have about these “Acrylic Marker” is that the blue color is lovely and writes smoothly. The size of these markers is small, so they fit nicely in a small handbag.I tried the pink marker next, and the pink “acrylic” ink pen hesitated to write as smoothly as the blue, so I had to slow my writing down. It came out satisfactory.Lastly, there were two markers with no color on case , so I thought, “Hmm… mystery colors?” When I wrote- nothing appeared to appear, but then I suspected it might be white acrylic ink.So, I wrote with the two white markers on top of a dark area from a copied document and it showed up as white ink. I had to go over the word I wrote 3 times for it to be legible, so although the white color marker is cool, I don’t expect it to last long.These acrylic markers were entertaining for a short while, but likely won’t hold anyone’s attention for long.I I tossed them in my desk drawer and may or may not rver use them again.I have no clue as to whether the ink is actually Acrylic based, but they have no smell, or if it washes off clothing.

The Cricut Acrylic Gel Pens write really smoothly and add a bold, vibrant touch to my projects. The colors come out nicely opaque and look great on both light and dark cardstock. I like that they fit perfectly in my Joy machine without any issues, and they’re easy to swap in and out.My only reason for giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that the ink flow can be a little inconsistent on longer designs, sometimes it starts off strong but then looks slightly lighter in places. It’s not a dealbreaker, but I wish they were just a bit more reliable for larger projects. So functional wise, it's a hit or miss.Overall, a great pen set that adds a nice pop to Cricut crafts, especially for cards and decorative details.

Excellent pens for use in select Cricut machines. The 1.0mm size marks very well with even coverage even on darker backgrounds. Would prefer to have more contrasting color variety in the package, however, they are offered in larger sets that can achieve this goal. The pens feel durable and the simple design is very easy to use. These are very functional for use with many projects and I expect them to provide reasonable longevity. With exception of the color variety, I have no hesitations recommending this product to friends and family.
