All the newer cars have digital speedometers, that I have gotten use to. Wife’s older car doesn’t and speedometer is hard to read in bright sunlight. This device really helps

🚮
On a highway with a speed limit of 65mph, the error is 5mph-10mph. For example, if my dashboard is turned to 70, it shows that my mph is 80-85, rubbish🚮

I guess it works, but I need to do more testing
For five years I have believed that the speedometer - and likely the odometer - in my Ford C-max read about 5% high. I was first alerted to that possibility by several of those municipal speed radar displays that the police like to set up to warn you to slow down. They always said I wasn't going as fast as I thought I was. Curious, I tried the time-honored method of using a stopwatch and the mile markers along a stretch of freeway. Not a real accurate method, but in five reps, it sorta confirmed what the radar signs were telling me. So what? you say. Well, I got comfortable driving by real radar run by real police a few mph over the posted limit secure in the belief that I wasn't actually going as fast as my dash said I was.Recently I discovered this digital GPS speedometer, and I got it to further confirm the inaccuracy of my Ford instrument. It's not all that intuitive to set up, but I think I finally got it. It's a little awkward to use for now as I don't want to glue it in place until I know it's working. So the cord flops around, and the unit wants to flip over, but I got to where I could read it and set up on a test run. Guess what. It confirmed that my speedometer is very accurate, and the paranoias I thought I had lost have returned. It's fun. I recommend it.
