I didn’t know this kind of product ever existed. I am glad to have this product. Its just easy to use. Just clean and dry and reuse. Looks like it will worth the money as there is no more worry about replacing the regular filer.. made of very good quality. Noise is also reduced… so overall happy with the purchase..

This fits perfectly, and isn't creating a large vaccuum on the return air. It seems to be working, I have used electrostatic washable filters before and they are the best at the trade off of low restriction and filtering capability. You suplement with portable air cleaner/ filters through out the house. The only thing is no-where in the documentation or on the filter frame is there an airflow direction arrow. Apparently there is no difference. I marked an arrow just so I'd install it the same way after cleaning. may be nothing but I wish they hand mentioned it in the packageing or signage.

I should have bought this in the first place! (I knew this years ago, but forgot all about it. Stupid me!) Filter manufacturers tout how well they purify the air in your home, but that's not what an HVAC filter is for. The purpose of all Furnace/AC (HVAC) filters is to prevent your system from clogging with dust. I knew this, yet was using high-priced 3M Filtrete filters for my allergies. Wrong! You actually want nothing higher than MERV 8 rated filters. They remove common dust, hair and pollen, which can clog your system and reduce its lifespan. Using filters with higher ratings wastes money because they're over $10 each, and have to be replaced regularly. Instead, this filter will save the most in the long run, and pay for itself quickly. When it gets a bit clogged, it's easily washed clean, to use again and again. The 3M Filtrete filters I had been using, (MERV 11) were blocking so much air that condensation was forming on the cooling coils during the summer months, then draining outside. The result was a significant drop in humidity, to well below 40%, which is unhealthy. Now the humidity remains between 40-50%, which is perfect. Not only that, but because of the increased airflow, the far bedroom in my home now gets cooled (and heated) as it should. The MERV 11 filters were restricting airflow so much that not enough air reached that room to keep the temperature comfortable. DON'T BE FOOLED BY PAPER FILTER ADVERTISING! If you need your air filtered more than MERV 8 provides, it's better to use stand-alone air purifiers, with their own fans, made specifically for that purpose. They will filter your air 24/7, unlike your HVAC, which filters only when it cycles on. This filter worked so well, I decided to buy another. That way I can swap them, and not have to quickly wash and dry the dirty one. This filter will save you serious money. No longer will you need to constantly replace paper filters, but you'll save on your electric bills as well. (Also saving on your gas bills, or whatever heats your home.) I noticed a drop in my electricity usage even when it got hotter in August than in July. WOW! That means I had been wasting money away for no reason. UGH! Don't make my mistake. Either use one of these, or at least stop using paper filters with a rating higher than MERV 8.

Nice and sturdy. I like the metal coils throughout. I like how it came with the corners secured by a border so they don’t get ruined. I’m excited to try this out for months and see how easy it is to wash clean rather than spend lots of money on buying new ones. A great idea!

This product is genius. I spend anywhere from 12-30 bucks every time I replace my filter, which is usually once a month because I have pets in my home and they have a lot of loose hair and stur up dust and dirt so I have to change my filter more often. This filter saves me money, lots of money. I can reuse this filter over and over and over and over again by just washing it out, with water and letting it dry before replacing into the unit. It makes the air quality of my home much better because I dont have to wait to get a filter to replace it, I just take it out, wash and replace after a short time of drying. Its very simple to use, dont have to take it apart, just run the water right over the outer cover. The life of this filter is comparable to buying over 75 filters, especially if cleaned often so it doesnt ever get to so dirty that it wont come clean well.
